  • Yes, this is the Impulse car station with straight panel, which I actually like better than the inclined one, which is seen a lot.

  • Thats weird...the car panel is different from the traditional type.

  • Here's how I determine the specs:

Name & capacity-Located on car station.

Type-Look through doors & hear motor noise.

Speed-Divide 60 seconds by the travel time, and then multiply travel distance.

    Distance-Floor heights/sections added up.

Motor size-Divide capacity by 100 for hydraulic, tractions are in 5 HP increments.

Year-Travis County Appraisal District, or building information sign by main entrance.

  • capt. elev. 42189 how do you determine all the technical specs for an elevator please reply

  • You're welcome, since there aren't a lot of Dover elevators with an arrow on the floor indicator.

  • hey thanks for the video responce :)

  • Maybe they based the light off the Vandal Resistant button, but that's interesting to see a Traditional button with vandal resistant light.

  • How come the hall station has a seperate light for the button, instead if the light being inside of the button?

  • Level G is the Garage Level for the underground parking garage.

  • What does G stand for?

  • L stands for Lobby.

  • The hall station buttons are the Traditional style buttons, and still made by ThyssenKrupp. Also I don't install elevators, but I calculate the speed through diving 60 by the travel time, and multiplying the height, along with determine the motor size by diving the capacity by 100.

  • we did that in science class to get the speed but it wasnt with elevators we used students we each ran in the gym I forget how long it was we ran

  • do you install elevators or work for an elevator company you seem to know alot about the elevators in your video descriptions

  • that has a classic call button and in some elevators that I go on like at hotels that are in peak mode automaticly go to the lobby so sometimes when I get on and dont press the button the elevator starts to decend to the lobby but when its almst there it stops in mid shaft and goes back up but why does it do that

  • Yes, because the Impulse fixtures were a registered trademark, and use a patented micro-touch button design, that is low maintenance.

  • Nice Dover elevator. I got a question for you...the Dover/ThyssenKrupp hall lantern, in-car lantern and buttons are Impulse series fixture? Is that an official name for it?

  • Yes, I like the Impulse fixtures with the straight panel array, rather than the inclined ledges.

  • great elevator the buzz is short enough not to be annoying as the thyseen krup ones and i like the panel without the "button ledges"

  • Yes, but the Shoal Creek Medical elevator doesn't have the annoying buzz.

  • modern but still has the annoying buzz car is nice though
