I also have found an easy way to tie the clove hitch. Cross your arms, grab the rope, then uncross them. This gives the opposing loops and the rest is the same! Great job on the videos. Its nice to watch from time to time for a refresher. Thanks!
This is fine if the pole you are placing the knot on an unattached object but don't firefighters come across poles or pipes that are afixed to the ground?
Only works if you have an object that is free standing but most times you want to use a clove hitch on a pole that is afixed to the ground....better to teach out to tie it instead of slipping the knot on
I'm taking a knots and ropes test on monday. This is gonna save my ass. Thanks so much from a future firefighter.
