@doveque007 - Well... seeing that this is a progression to "LEARN" the underwater dolphin... that will be the goal. Thanks for the encouragement though.
Hi goswim098!! Im 15 and when i do the dolphin kick i am unable 2 lift my hips up and flow...i usually end up double kicking especially while doing butterfly..:(
hi goswim098!, Im a 15 year old girl and im going through the major 'growth' i've been told that alot of girls quit as they feel like they are going nowhere in swimming while growing, its been about half a year so far and i feel the same, i work so hard, yet go nowhere, im trying hard on my streamline to see if i can have an advantage, when we do drills or slow swimming my streamlinings great but when i sprint i just about get to the flags, do u know why?
@emmawozere2006 - Hi. These questions are far better answered on our website. You'll get all kinds of help and advice from other swimmers there. Click on the banner on our channel and it will take you right there. Just remember, sometimes the harder you try, the more things go wrong. Keep your kicks small and compact and focus on the resistance you're creating to set up a big kick. Sometimes that's the fastest way to improve.. limit resistance.
@mikejahn2791 There's some info about underwater cams at our website. We use many different types depending on if we're just going to upload to YouTube, or for our production DVDs. Prices range from $200+ - to a few thousand.
You may be kicking too much from your legs. Remember, the more you bend your legs to set up the kick, the better chance that you'll be creating more resistance with the set up. try to kick from the body like the swimmer in the drill.
you use the wrong power. U use your wraist to power you legs while keep your head stable. The main power is on the wraist , not on the legs.. I suggest u practise dolphin kick in a deep water while the body stand upright and keep your head just above the water. The head should not be moving too much. If you can handle this, then you graduate from dolphin kick
ouu yes is easy to do it with that fins, c'mon try to do it whitout them...
