Thanks. You know I'll tell anyone who'll listen that Bill Comins makes the best archtop guitars you can buy! I'm also using the Comins amp made by his friend George Allesandro.
Tom is playing brushes on this tune. The song that preceded it was a burner, so this Bossa was the only thing on the set that wasn't sticks. Seems to me he's playing the right feel for the tune. Maybe I mixed the drums too weak. Check out "Total Eclypse" (from the same concert). More stuff to follow.
Hi. I'm "the bald guy on drums". I have a name (see credits). Saying I need to "pick it up" is way off the mark. I played in a way that was totally appropriate for a gentle, laid back bossa nova. (Rick decides tempo, btw, not me.) You can hear that I rise and fall - albeit in a subtle way - with the soloists' by: changing colors, indicating the phrasing of the tune with fills, etc., and hinting at a double-time feel which helps to add momentum. My softer approach contrasts w/ the other tunes.
Hey Tom, don't take these folks so seriously. There are a lot of people on the net with too much time on their hands that just like to go around dissing other people's work. I you go to his page, you'll notice that he hasn't posted ANYTHING of his own. It's very easy to criticize, much more difficult to create!
I don't take the comments so seriously, but I take what I do seriously - because if I didn't, I wouldn't be any good at it. If someone makes what I perceive to be an ignorant (not as in "stupid" but as in "unaware") or inaccurate comment on something I do, I may simply endeavor to "enlighten" them lol.
Nothing but beautiful music spoken here.

The guitarist has a nice tone. Heartfelt playing too. Lovely song. But who's the bald guy on drums? He needs to pick it up...
