ya im in post 11 county baby!!!!!!!!!!!! san jose pt looks easy compare to our physical training!!!!!!!!!!!! all we do is run and push ups!!!!!!!!!!!!!! couple of miles every sunday and a few hundred push ups also but im sure san jose has great pogram keep up the work guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!
haha I am in charge of PT now and muscle failure is one big part of it. We all do push ups. For every screwup in Inspection thats 10 so we usualy get more than 50. We run about a mile then do more sit ups push ups the monkey bars pull ups etc. then we grab a highrise pack and run up the 7 story building
lemme ask you, is the turnouts and all that stuff brand new and issued to you guy's, or are they all hand-me downs? becuase at my post up here in Rancho Cucamonga, all of our stuff is the crews old gear they don't need anymore. and yes we buy out own uniforms too. dopn't know why people complain about that.
it really can be. and more just joined a couple weeks ago, now we have 83.....and im the post leader. word of advice, if you have more than 50, DONT BE THE POST LEADER!!! lol
the people with the most seniority can ride whatever day they want. the people with the least seniority have assigned days they can ride. and they have to ride at a starion where no one else is riding that day bacause we dont want to stress the crew having to be responsible for 2 explorers.
im post leader from Carlin VFD explorers post #0126 and in order to go en route you must have basic first aid, CPR/AED, highway safety, extrication, ELFF, basic wildland, hazmat awareness/ops. only 4 explorers including me and im the only one that meets and exceeds the minimal requirements. and if there is a spare seat available to go the most qualified goes. only things we cant do is engineer, power tools, and entry. other than that we do everything else.
good times...good memories...
