Forgiveness is commanded of God. Jesus said of his offenders "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." I don't recall the Pharisees and the Roman Soldiers ever coming to him and asking forgiveness.

LOL! I love the way he makes reference to how a possible repentant child molester might ask for forgiveness. I have to agree that molesters need to be castrated and sentanced to death.

What about when Jesus said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do" Luke 23:34? It doesn't seem like those crucifying Him were confessing and repenting.

@cryout2Him You can't confess sin that you don't realize is there. That is why Jesus wanted forgiveness for them, they were unaware.
