  • the issue was that electric cars were not powerfull enough for transportation and they needed to be re charged to often.

  • I think this upload is run by the government, everytime i try to post it throw me to another clip unrelated to electric cars.

  • @alfistii1 yeah the governments is watching! (twilight zone theme music) lmao it posted what u had to say... u posted basically the same shit like 3 times already lol

  • Electric cars put out as much if not more co% that the modern petrol equivalent.

Battery powered cars use electricity to charge up, that means burning lots of coal.

    Not very green is it.

  • Electricity comes from powerstations they burn coal, tons of the stuff to produce

this power, not very eco is it.

  • I live in Az..

Our electric company ( SRP ) uses electric cars and have been for over 8 years..

I`m talking about electric cars that look just like a regular mid size chev. car that can be driven about 240 miles with out plugging in..

I have seen fleets of these cars at the power companys parking personal parking lots for meter readers etc..

they have small truck as well..

I knew a guy that drove one..he said it was great..fast to..quick exseleration & drove very smooth.

  • That is amazing.

    Can you give details?

I have a friend in Seattle who is converting a truck to all electric.

Last I talked to him, he is looking for a charger.

  • I don`t know enough about the cars and what happen to them or if they are still use them..I know they just plugged into a 110 out let.

I even looked on line myself to see if anyone had bought a used car that was used by SRP

I bet a heavy duty fork lift motor converted over to a car frame engine area / body would be a grate motor.. You could figure out how to convert it to a cars transmission drive line.

The Problem for me is a work shop to do the welding.. etc work

    chargers should be easy

  • The oil companies destroyed electric cars for obvious reasons.

  • @samdon815 ; electric cars use power from coal burning powerstations, so emit

tons of co% every year, not very green is it. also could end up with battery cars

clogging up the highway when the battery goes flat.

  • @alfistii1 The US presently gets 16% of our electric power from Hydro-electric generation using only .05% of our potential. We have NO tidal or wave generators but add that in and it seems that our energy problem could be solved.

  • @alfistii1 Which is why I don't have an electric car, until the infrastructure for clean solar and wind power is fully implemented to supply energy to electric cars I won't buy one.

Hydrogen can be produced by using electricity too, much better than batteries with corrosive chemicals in them.

I'm a classic car nut so I'd welcome hydrogen cars for the majority of drivers, a small amount of fossil fuels for classic car use won't damage the environment.

  • @G1NZOU well think of it this way, you keep these cars ran on gas and oil and ur just giving ur money away to these arabs who want to use that money to invest in a holy war against us so were basically funding their terrorism. so its kind of a lose lose situation :-(

  • @ineedmuney1 So you think all Arabs are terrorists?

  • @G1NZOU no i have a good friend who is arab. shes cool as hell and i like her whole family. but its already been proven alot of those oil companies over seas have been linked to different terrorist groups. not ALL of them but quite a few. and if you look into it alot of those countries raise their kids to hate americans and alot of those countrys have declared holy war on us. so im just sayin if you buy gas theres a good chance some of ur money goes towards terror groups somehow.

  • @ineedmuney1 True enough, most of the wars nowadays is about control of oil.

For now though, I'll stick with my old Wolseley.

I'd love to own a Honda Hydrogen car in the future though, better than batteries because you can fill up with some more and keep driving, not leave it on charge for a few hours once you get to the end of the range.

I'd like to see a future where we all do our bit to produce our own energy, solar panels on our roof and recycling and composting all our waste.

  • @ineedmuney1 BPs not so bad, sure they've had bad publicity from the Deep Water Horizon spill but at least they don't fund terrorists.

As a Brit I can see what you're saying about terror funding, we've had our share of terror attacks, nowhere near as bad as 9/11 though.

  • can you follow up with why they disappeared?

  • Why is this considered dis-information, I've known about this since I was a kid in the 40's, there were still a few around then. They held the world land speed record for a time. People quit buying them because the others were cheaper and there wasn't that much electricy across the country back then to charge them at home. Now is the perfect time for them to return. No one tried to hide them, the public just didn't care until a tank of gas started costing them, if the price comes back, we lose.

  • Check out documentary called "Who Killed The Electric Car?" It expands on this vid. After you have watched it you no longer want to give one penny to any oil company

  • Well giving back then not many realized what gasoline vehicle will eventually mean for our planet... just sad. Not buying another vehicle unless it's electric.

  • it's kind of shocking.

  • hot damn. i can't believe the market for electric cars dried up........ man, that's sad.

  • 1887, 50mph, 30 miles/charge. look how far we've come NOT! Take note GWIZ.

    Excellent vid :)

  • 15mph

  • i don't believe it. those looked like normal cars they showed.

  • And a little disgusting...

  • electrifying!
