I'm sure we'd all rather listen to this than The Style Council. I agree with Weller when he said 'TSC days were the ones I'm most embarrassed about'.. or something like that.
I can't stand people who jump on the Weller bandwagon, kiss his arse and claim everything he's done is quality. It ain't.
very good version, theres a big market out there for the jam, the public wants it so good on them , weller wants to stop being arty farty ,his best work was between 77 -82 ,nothing wrong with reforming and playing the old stuff ,come on paul do it for the fans ,plus you,ll sell out everywere
Weller could have made a ton more money if he had kept the Jam together and regurgitated Town Called Malice every two nights with Bruce and Rick by his side. He chose the more difficult path. Expand your musical horizons, those with arrested (Jam) development. INTO TOMORROW!
Weller is god; this is rubbish. How sad that Bruce and Rick have to sing songs written for them 25 years ago by Weller. Sorry that you're all too old, white, and stuck in the past to appreciate Weller's musical evolution. Bravest move in music ever was to break up the Jam at the height of their popularity and success.
this new guy takes paul wellers place really well ,he is great and paul weller was shit as soon as he went to the stle council and that other shit he singing ,that soul shit and other shit ,bruce ,rick and the other one are doing better with out that traitoring shit
The Guy in question ain't a spare prick. Dave Moore adds that extra bit to the band on Keyboards and Rhythm Guitar. He also plays bass when Bruce plays acoustic on That's Entertainment.
The Jam were originally a three piece band, but could not have put out a great quality sound without the keyboards and brass sections.
Oh Come On! This guy's having a laugh. Look at his every movement on stage - it's pure Weller. Talk about a wannabe!!!! If he was serious and wanted to avoid any comparisons then 1. Don't watch every Jam performance on TOTP and then replicate it. 2. Don't use a Rickenbacker. 3. Don't try to sound like Weller and, 4. Don't get the same haircut.
Having read the book "My Ever Changing Moods" I have to agree; Paul Weller is too far stuck-up himself to make millions of Jam fans happy. Long Live The Jam!!
I saw this band in Cork. One of the best nights of my life. Great sound-the music and vocals were special. I think this lead singer does the songs real justice. Also. Rick and Bruce and backsage staff made it a very very personal affair. I will deof see agian and recommend anyone to see. They are not doing this for money but for the fans and I thank you for that great night that lifted me. Dave -
25years of waiting for weller to do this....saw from the jam 25th may ..... realised weller wasnt the modfather more like the soldoutfather......dont believe it myself...pinching myself alot lately...checked out from the jam modradiouk interview here on youtube.....thrown out my weller cd's been in loft got me parka n records out of storage....bought tickets for kentish town 19th dec....feel like ive been a blind fool for too long .....weller dead...from the jam alive n kickin :)
Weller f*cked it up, egotistical shit. If he hadn't bailed on these guys, The Jam could have explored any type of music they wanted and always returned to their roots. Throwing this away for that Style Council poncery, and a bunch of guest appearances with Noel Gallagher... was it worth it Paul?
Got to disagree, saw them live last night, bloody awesome.Weller won't do it so why should'nt someone else.Sold out tour and nobody missed Weller..Why not? people want to see this stuff.
cant wait till manchester in december.been a fan since 1980,weller is NOT required, this is whats its all about small venues, people who love the music. WELLER CAN KEEP DOING TEDIOUS ACOUSTIC VERSIONS,STAY AWAY
anyway im glad that bruce and rick r doin it again my dad saw them a couple of weeks ago.i wanna see them caus i never could see the real jam cause im only 14.
no! aint haveing it buckler&foxton screwing it up. ukown they aint even bring it up to date, what a state there in....why didnt they carry on after weller went
25 odd years ago...that i would relate to but this crap
no go waste you money, lets face thats what they want now 20years later cant stress it enough they should have kept in the game its gone making the jam look bad
whats that saying a dog 'always comes back to its vomit'
Absolutely brilliant! I love The Jam and it's cool that Rick & Bruce are doing this. I must get to see them live for myself cos I didn't get to see The Jam.

Good effort I admit, but not the same.
Nobody can recreate or imitate Weller. Nobody.
But at least Rick & Bruce have given this generation of post-Jam fans a chance to see two-thirds of the original line-up!

those two had the energy and rawness that the jam lacked in the end as weller sucked up to white boys soul.good luck to them they deserve it .

paul breaking up the jam and starting the style twats was the worst move for a bloke with a voice

Who's the spare prick with the guitar at the side of the stage ? Do they need a 4th person to create the sound that 3 use to make ?
