Ed Kranepool was used as a pinch hitter by the Mets at the end of his career. He did the Gillette Foamy commercial sitting in the dugout with a face full of lather just in case he got the call to go up to the plate. It was a scream.

@gillettefoamy Sorry, gillettefoamy, I am an Edge man. I tried Gillette Foamy way back in my high school days when I ran out of Edge. It was awful. I had to go buy some Edge. My step-dad still uses Gillette Foamy though.
I love this commercial series and have done so since I was a pre-teen. Ed Kranepool of the Mets was in one of the other spots.
With the familiar piano music I call "The Shaving Cream Rag." It was used for a Canadian TV series called "Write On," about the use of the English language.
