What exactly do I need to purchase from you to be able to use my iPhone 3GS connected directly to my '08 Santa Fe? And where can I bring it to be professionally installed (Orlando, Florida resident).
You would need the PXAMG & the PGHHY2 harness. You need to make sure that your vehicle is not equipped with an internal satellite tuner. Hyundai changed their cars halfway through the year from external sattelite tuners to internal satellite tuners. When there is an internal satellite tuner the PXAMG is not compatible. The only way to tell if you have an internal tuner is to remove the radio and see if there is a satellite antenna plugged into it.
Ok, is there any other source it can go into? Even if disabling the CD player? Is there any way to disable the sat tuner in the guts? Snip/tie off a wire maybe? How about any other gadgets that might provide video-audio in that could be used to make this thing work? I looked at some of the pins and I see things empty but I'm too ignorant to know what that means.
Can one tweak the Nav to accommodate this? I have no problem tearing into the thing.
:) I refuse to accept this won't work with the Nav version.
If it won't work with the XM on the Nav unit - is there not an alternative? There has to be a way. I assume it's been tested and not written off as technically impossible just on paper. I've read some work on Acuras when they shouldn't.
Also - While engaged, will I have full iPhone control as well? Will the screen on the Phone/iPod still be viewable/controllable?
It does not work on the nav radios because they have an internal satellite tuner. When there is an internal sat tuner there are no data/audio lines for us to interrupt, thus making them not compatible with this product.
Quick Question for you How was the process as far the installation of the PXAMG unit in this Santa fe?

Believe me, if there was another way to make it work we would have it listed as compatible!

That's just sad. IDK what Hyundai was thinking with this Nav. I assume there's also no way to add any aux or video-in as well. :( Thank you.

Is this compatible with the 2007 Santa Fe's?

Yes it should work just fine in a 2007 Santa Fe. The vehicle must be equipped with factory Satellite Radio or be Satellite Radio ready.

Any ideas on a good site showing detailed pics or video instructions for install?
