damn i ain't never heard guitar played like this never but damn have i ever enjoyed it i don't care for jazz im a blues fan but damn it all jazz sounded like this maybe i would listen to jazz a lot more absolutely breath taking and astonishing fo realz..
@nickbarcenas The thing might be that Bucky and Frank here are playing music that's more "hot guitar" - or "jump" or "swing style." Not bebop, that's for sure! If you like this, get Mickey Baker's "Complete Course in Jazz Guitar," Volume 1, and work through it. It teaches this style. Look for records of Eddie Lang. You'll freak out over Eddie. I agree - this sound is great. Boppers made it too complicated for my taste. We shoulda been born in 1920! (Find Charlie Christian, too.)
This is just plain superb. Distortion or not. Your site says no description available... well no description is necessary. He who has ears to hear..... Love it. Though I would love to know where you got it.
It is a) wonderful to hear Bucky Pizzarelli b) wonderful to hear Bucky Pizzarelli play so well at 83 c) wonderful to know living legends still exist. He is one of the true nice guys in the music business and is always willing to help the youngsters. He gives back freely and that makes him special.

Fine solo work, but geez, Louise, look at those chord changes Bucky is doing. Fabulous!!!! You can see where son John gets his chording style.
