  • wish i could have one

  • german police gun

  • I absolutely love the P99. All I have is an airsoft version(that recently broke), so I've never shot one, but I still like it. I just love the design and the feel of the gun. BTW, what caliber is it?

  • It is capable of firing much faster the trigger rest is very very short but awesome video love my first gen p99!

  • @booggieman2u Thanks! I'm sure the cyclic rate is very fast.. the glock is similar in size and the full auto glock 18 cycles at 20 rounds per second! wow, so theoretically the slide would go that fast but i think the trigger return spring would slow that down a bit.. i saw Jerry Michelic fire a 1911 at just over 10 rounds per sec.. whew..i'm guessing that jerry on the 99 could do 9 rnds per sec.. best i can do on any handgun is 6 rounds per sec ... still hoping i can hit 7 some day..

  • The trigger rests a 1/8" from full pull once the p99 cycles i think you could easily get 7someone 7 if you work with it

  • Buying on in a few weeks, your video only made me want one more

  • seems like a nice gun

  • James Bonds gun, also used by the SAS

  • I have that setup, nice

  • Nice gun, nice holster!

  • germans make my favorite weapons tho my favorite hand gun is american M1911

  • i like it

  • Beautiful

  • JAMES BOND!!!!

  • I know! been calling it that for so many years.. seems like everyone around me is calling it cock and found it the correct way is coke.. still trying to switch my mind over to heckler and coke.. whew!

  • lol he said cock

  • @MagicTurdd I know! so used to calling it cock instead of coke.. seems like everyone around me calls it that.. found out the correct way to say it is coke.. trying to switch my mind over... whew!

  • @MagicTurdd I know! been calling it that for so many years.. seems like everyone around me is calling it cock and found it the correct way is coke.. still trying to switch my mind over to heckler and coke.. whew!

  • Dutch cops wearing these guns

  • @xxweaponsxx123 thanks for the information.. i had heard some European countries using it for police or mitlitary, more so than here in the US.

  • @radioqrp dude thats a sweet gun, walther has a pretty fine reputation in europe, and here in America for a while people have started to turn that way, I assume its a finely crafted pistol that has guts.

  • @radioqrp I'm from Spain in Europe and I can confirm this information, the police here use this gun, or the HK :) Regards

  • @xxweaponsxx123 Dutch cops are wearing the Walther p5.

  • how accurate is it?

  • I love mine, glad I got while I had some money

  • i find it interesting how we germans distribute weapons all over the world (walther, H&K, ...) but barely participate in any war.

  • Mhmm, it was James bond's standard pistol in his 3 latest movies

  • Isn't that the same gun James bond uses?

  • @Jlkdrummer James Bond used it in his 3 latest movies, he used walther ppk in previous films

  • @RUSSIANDEVIL9 I find it funny how James Bond and all other 00 agents in the MI6 division use the German Walther P99 as a standard issue firearm, but no British ingenuity comes to mind...

  • thanks! my favorite gun P99!!!

  • Does the gun get scratches on a slide from sliding in and out of the holster?

  • @Kurac80. Not at all, I was worried about that too at first using the Serpa holster. The P99 and my other service guns don't get scratches.

  • @Kurac80 =p who cares about scratches a scratched gun is a well used gun

  • nice.

  • The walther brand gun I think is one of the best in the world p99

  • Great video Sr.!!! so please tell me. Which kind 9mm ammunition are you using in this video? Federal, Fiocchi, Remington Blazer,,,, and for your experience which one is the best. Thank's

  • @rupertoruiz Thanks for watching and compliment. Fiocchi is ok, but i don't buy it. I find for FMJ Remington, Winchester, and Federal are about the same so i buy the cheapest one when i go shopping. Lately it's been Federal red box was $10 at walmart but recently went up to $12 for 50. I shoot mainly offhand my service guns so i can't tell a difference between any of them. If i was handgun hunting with a scope then I'd benchrest and find the most accurate for my gun. Cheers.

  • I thought it was 10 rounds.

  • @wung97 I thought it was 16.

  • What do you think would be better this gun or the new PPQ?

  • @mesarock2vh I haven't tried the new gun yet.. seems like a good one. It has a very short reset trigger, similar to the SIG SRT.. some like it some think it is a little too short. It does make for quick and accurate shooting, not sure if i'd like it for defensive purposes. If you could handle each in a gun store and dry fire it it would help. The rough texture and shape of the grip looks similar to an HK P30 and should be very grippy. Also time will tell if the PPQ has any issues.

  • Hot damn!

  • oh come on you can shoot faster than that!

  • @usmcsnell he was shooting accuratly...

  • the back side of that pistol looks like the back side of the magnum from halo. no lie

  • @ultimateps31 pretty cool.... i'll have to check out Halo on my xbox and look for it..

  • Is that a QA or an AS model?

  • @heffe67 This is the AS model.. being essentially a single action i could shoot it fairly fast, of course there are those who can really get it going! I've owned previously the QA model, also excellent, more of a double action only mechanism compared to the cocked AS model.

  • So why isn't there any muzzle flare? Is it only because of camera, or is it because of something else?

  • @youmakeitwhatitis You're probably refering to muzzle flash. It's harder to see in bright sunlight.. but there is some there, the trees help to see it when the gun is going off, but you're also right about the camera. It appears that when the shutter is open during the exact moment the gun goes off you can see some flash.. other times you don't. if i had a high speed camera you'd see it a lot better. Watch Top Shot if you don't already on the History channel. They're using a 10,000/sec cam, wow

  • I guess everyone is correct on magazine capacity for the P99. Walther made both 15 and 16 round 9mm magazines. And to confuse the issue even more, there are at least 3 types of magazines. Mags with witness holes for 16 rnds that hold 16 runds, witness holes for 15 rnds that hold 16, and witness for 15 rnds that hold 15 rounds... WHEW

  • If you didn't cock it again, would it have been possible to fire it in double action mode? When you cock it again by pulling the slide back, how come it didn't eject the already chambered round?

    Thanks in advance.

  • That 's still the As version right, cause there are many versions of this gun.

  • names bond. james bond

    and it has 16 rounds

  • @partiegirl14 Thanks for watching, and you're right ! 16 rounds.. said 15 in the video.. i'll have to fix that with an annotation. Thanks for paying attention!

  • @radioqrp decock

  • @partiegirl14 , Actually he was right, the magazine holds 15 round. 15 +1, the " 1 " is in the chamber.

  • names bond. james bond

  • ...ok?

  • Gorgeous gun man. Do you mind telling me what holster did you use? Because i am getting this gun but in .40 and i am looking for a nice holster. Thanks

  • @Kurac80 for this gun i use the SERPA polymer retention holster. I have the same holster for all of my service/military type handguns. I usally have them set for paddle. It can also be worn with paddle off and use the belt loop for a little more concealability. We practice a person can draw very fast with this holster. If you wanted it to show less under a shirt then a leather belt holster would be better.

  • QA over the AS version? Why do you say? Im curious because I just put some money down on a AS. I did some research on the subject, and the AS just seemed more appealing to me. Having that much travel on the trigger for the first shot, I think, would be a prime choice for a carry weapon. (for myself anyway)

  • @JaysoutFishin I've owned both and like both. The QA is a lot like a glock, constant long but easy pull for each shot. AS is long but really easy pull for 1st shot, then short easy pull after that. Either would be great for concealed carry. AS is more accurate for longer shots, only because of the SA pull. Awesome gun either way. I sold the QA and bought the AS version.

  • @radioqrp My local gun shop had a "baby eagle" QA, I couldnt believe my eyes, because I am a big fan of the Jericho (baby eagle) and didnt know magnum research made such a firearm. Both guns were IDENTICAL in size, look, feel, (the eagles picatinny rail was a little different) but in the end I chose the AS version. I think this gun will be my new everyday carry, its so damn lite!!!

  • @radioqrp So let me get this straight; after the first round is fired, each subsequent shot is in S/A only? Cant you keep in in D/A full time with a consistant trigger pull every shot? Or no?

  • @JaysoutFishin I shoot by releasing for the reset, in the AS version it lets me do that. If i did release the trigger all the way, then, yes I would have to pull a longer pull, but it's so light you can't really feel it, then slight pressure before it goes off. In the QA version, there is no short reset, you have to release all the way then pull. I guess you could condsider the AS consistant pull because you have to rack the slide to load it, which precocks the trigger. The QA doesn't preecock.

  • how much did the pistol run you??

  • @shadeshiest22 thanks for watching. $575 nite sites were $90 more

  • i count 15. nice dude. would you recommend this for a first gun? also how do jhps work in them?

  • @nubcakehero Thanks for watching. Very reliable with hollowpoints, never a malfunction with any ammo. Pretty good choice for a 1st gun, though i'd go with the QA instead of the AS version, easier to shoot safely. This is an expensive handgun and forget about night sites which are usally a $200 option. Otherwise a very reliable, rugged and accurate pistol that fits most hands. Lightweight at 24oz for carry.
