Pondworld, I think that the film is actually a creative interpretation of the Welsh lyrics (some depressive musings on pain, hurt, possible suicide, and a goddess that is supposed to help.)
Myself not a Welsh speaker, found the lyrics by googling. They seemed to be rather imperfect translation, so instead of giving the link, I encourage others to seek... Btw., I have an old recording by Welsh singer Siân James, with a harp, and it was a completely different story, metaphorically speaking...
I hate to appear disloyal but I prefer the Scottish pipes. I don't care for any kind of clog dancing, Irish or Welsh. Sorry....................... ond diolch.
John Tose and Ceri Rhys Matthews are the only ones I know of. In the USA, there's Oceans apart, and Moch Pryderi, who use them a bit, but not predominantly.
why are the welsh bag pipes not more famous in wales? this should be played at rugby games and other events like weddings and stuff
