It is an unneccasary form of spending. the government was not designed or laid out by the constitution to take care of every living breathing thing on earth.... @ScottDoughertyMusic Saying that on this site will cost you $1.2 million. They are trying to run a news show here...Or did you already buy the "Throwing a fuck you" right?
Oh wow, another 20 seconds into the video I can see that cenk is also an economic illiterate of the worse kind too.....The crash was caused by the federal reserve not 'deregulation' contrary to popular LIBERAL belief. If they knew how the banking system worked they would go OHHH, REALLY?? DURR
@AroundSun You may think you know the banking system, but I hope you aren't a banker, your ability to read numbers sucks...that point wasn't "made" as in completed sentence until 29 sec. in...if you are a banker your a bad political student, because then it wasn't the reserve either, it was bankers that can't read numbers that may work for the federal reserve, either way I don't like you.
Cenk is starting to lose all credibility and is becoming a disgusting mouthpiece for the far left. "Republicans are against the poor and unemployed". Yes, that's right. They hate them. Too bad REAL conservatism was practiced we'd have less poor and unemployed than anything the 'annointed' disgusting left could throw at it. Fucking mental patients, bi-polar cases, and schizoids...Go occupy something...
I'm not the kind of person who pretty much almost worships animals. But, if you are against making a law that says you must treats animal DECENTLY. You don't even have to let them live in your house! Just a little shed! DECENTLY, people. Also, I'm sure Republicans don't hate everything. It's just a point of view.
Do you think Cenk is really a republican, plotting against democrats, making them seem absolutely retarded, in order to give republicans more power? I do...
I opened a a fresh sqeezed puppy juice stand in the mall but nobody wants to buy from me in fact they keep spitting in my face what am I doing wrong.....?
@METALMAN4Wii We Republicans love puppies,but we kill old people to get rich. My company sends old dead people to India to the Bombay Pet Food Co. where they are ground up for dog food. For puppies we have Mahatma-meal. For adult dogs we have Gunga-dinner. For old dogs with bad teeth and digestive issues we have Ghandi-gruel. For cats we have Calcutta-cuts We also starve little children. In my next episode I'll tell you how I made my millions doing it.
@METALMAN4Wii And here's how I made my millions by starving children. Me and my jackals know when the schools get their weekly allotment of food. That night we break into the schools and steal all the food. Then we sell the non-perishables on Ebay and take the perishable food to the local food bank where they give me a receipt fo use on my taxes later. Then I sit on the front porch watching the kids leave school holding their little tummies murmering food, foood, fooooood. Oh well!
@METALMAN4Wii The Democrats say that we kill old people and starve children. How do you disprove a negative/ Today someone told me that all Republicans suck. OK, I suck. Now how about on to something new. O know! All Republicans are axe murders, grave robbers, child molesters, thieves, whore mongers, puppy killers, window peeper, etc. See what I mean? There is no way to disprove a negative, so whenever someone accuses me of something, 'll agree to it and explain it!
@earlyhemibill Rather there's no way to disprove the truth. And as all those assertions are correct I can see how it can be a little frustrating for you people on the right.
BTW, why are you people evil? Were you born republican or did you catch it through unsafe sex?
@maersklandro I use to be a Democrat until the advent of Jimmy Carter. If you think things are bad now, you are probably too young to remember the Carter days. Now Obama is doubling down on his screw-ups and we're headed in that direction again. My pappy always told me, he said (boy, the Democrats are for the working man and the Republicans are for the rich. ) That's what I thought until I got old enough to know better. Now my concern is if social security will still be there along with my 401K.
@METALMAN4Wii Now, look at the post above me by you. Saying you're trying to sell puppy juice. I know it's a joke and I laugh, but liberals have a hard time with that. They go around looking for something to get mad at. Some people really get a life.
@earlyhemibill Well I'm an Independent so i'm like the smartass of TYT. but yeah if there was no one stopping them I'm pretty sure some person would try opening a puppy juice stand....!
He's an idiot and is just trying to suppress republicans and I'm not even a republican but this guy is a bosom pinned idiot and his opening line made me want to kill him figuratively but still u kno hate him
I don't consider myself to be republican or democrat, and I don't have much of an opinion on politics but I found the following imaginary scenario to be funny:
A guy, wearing a power suit, in a conference room full of republicans slams on the tabel and shout, "Now what are we going to do about these god damn puppies!"
This is stupid. They don't explain anything about the bill other than "its good for puppies". Legislation is never that simple. There are always good qualities to bills but not everything passes because they always have drawbacks. And not voting for a bill like this doesn't mean you hate puppies, don't be ridiculous.
When you "report news" based solely on partisan lines its always terrible. No matter what the political affiliation.
@wateryskipper way to respond to a many month old comment
what do you just scroll through pages and pages of youtube comments all day. Is that how pathetic your existence is? No wonder you rely on dogs to offer you something almost approaching companionship. As finding companionship among your own species is clearly quite beyond you
@Ironzealot7531 I feel sorry for you. You have no idea of the meaning of the word compassion. You cannot even look past your nose. You do not know the meaning of the word Love. If anybody's life is pathetic, it is yours buddy. I will pray for you with compassion. Right now, you do not know any better. think about this...seeing eye dogs...one example of how they give back to humankind. You are the one is pathetic.
@Ironzealot7531 This says a lot about you.. I feel sorry for you. You do not know the meaning of the word love. Were you sexually abused when you were young? get some help for this.
@szelle63 And look who else didn't show the other side of it...YOU.
Got a problem with it? Make your concern with this so-called other side that you say exists. All you did was call Cenk biased and didn't explain why with any facts. Actually, that does not surprise me one bit, I'm pretty used to that kind of behavior from conservatives!
Puppy mills produce dogs with severe illnesses due to inbreeding.
The goal of a puppy mill is to produce as many dogs as possible for profit, not the highest quality. How many mills do you think really care for the dogs?
Of the 114 Counties in Missouri--101 Voted AGAINST this deceptive Proposition! If that is not sending a CLEAR message--I don't know what is! It's not about "puppymills" at all--it is about RICH Corporations controlling our Country!
@KnowledgeisPower2011 actually in Missouri dog mills is a big business, maybe because of less gov. regulations and the open space, but here in California its highly regulated with visits from the city animal control checking up
ether way people who voted no on this prop must be out there mind and just care about there pockets not there puppies
More food for thought--have read that 82% of the funding BACKING THIS BILL (Prop B) is coming OUTSIDE the State of Missouri. Obviously, Intelligent Missourians would not be funding something this deceptive! "SHOW ME" NO BS!
yeah I know but... yours must have really hit home seeing as it's the only one spammed.
Either i'm missing something in your comment, or you're right, either way my comment was mainly just there to make sure people clicked the "show" button above what you said.
I generally label myself as conservative and agree and disagree with the opposition. They never fucking say that they want the puppies to be treated poorly, dickweed. They are simply afraid that they may face bogus charges because the kennel a dog is in is an inch too short or not quite tall enough. Don't say it wouldn't happen. Just look at the crazy charges people have faced on this show. Rapping your order at a McDonalds, perhaps? Dogs SHOULD be treated humanely, but does it have to be a law?
@Ilovesaxthrice you're fucking stupid and you have no idea how companies work. companies will do whatever makes them money and they dont care about anything else. it has to be law otherwise they will continue abusing the animals and face no consequences. For example it is pretty obvious you shouldnt kill someone but if their was no law stating that what would stop you?
@d3l1a4973 Okay, you fucking moron. You're saying that if there were no law against killing people you would kill every mother fucker who crossed your path? Would you kill your own mother because why the fuck not? And I do have a general idea of how companies work. I helped my grandfather run a welding company and later my father an automotive company. Yes, there are sleezebags, but not every single company is doing "whatever makes them money" and not caring "about anything else".
@NonisMonster Fuck you and fuck your mother. It does NOT have to be the law. At least not in this fashion. There are already fucking laws against cruel treatment of animals and if it is concluded that the animals are truly being treated maliciously then they can still bust them. IT'S ALREADY A FUCKING LAW! And if you are quoting somebody you use QUOTATIONS, "dickweed".
@Ilovesaxthrice The owners know EXACTLY what's going on in their puppy mills; they only do these things for a profit. They breed their dogs non-stop, don't give them protection from the weather, don't give them veterinary care, don't socialize them.. they give them shit lives.
watch?v=60LiJE-CmAk&feature=channel (post in place of the stuff behind the normal youtube url)
Tell me after watching this you still think they don't want the dogs to be treated poorly.. (continued in the comments)
@Classicre Is this typical of ALL or even MOST puppy mills in Missouri? One thing I've learned over the years about cases such as these is that there is usually one and on rare occasions two businesses who abuse the law. VERY rarely is it typical of ALL of them. In that case, deal with those who are in the wrong and don't put the welfare of ALL of the businesses at stake.
@Classicre And how much experience do you have in the field? I am good friends with a professional dog trainer. He has two black labs who are incredible animals. They are let out of their kennels to train and on rare occasion come into the house to play. The dogs absolutely adore him. There is NO cruel treatment involved. Dogs simply don't need to run about freely ALL the fucking time. If dogs are unhappy, they will show it in their performance. These dogs are NOT unhappy.
@Ilovesaxthrice Don't go and say you have experience in the field cause you have a friend who is a dog trainer. I have none but judging from what you've said you don't either. & two dogs not used for breeding and that have been socialized can't be compared to ones in puppy mills. "A high-volume, sub-standard dog breeding operation, which sells...dogs to unsuspecting buyers." Note 'sub-standard'; it means places defined as pm's are treating their dogs poorly. Just let the dogs have an okay life!
@Classicre I never said that I had experience, asshole. I simply stated that I know somebody that has experience in the field. And read JJJJview07's post. Is it possible that this is why the Republicans are against? I'm betting the Missouri Vet Association knows MUCH more about the subject than any sensationalized YouTube video or either of us. Those are the facts. Go read them.
@Ilovesaxthrice And yes, that probably would happen, but its for the dogs' good. This law would prevent dogs from suffering and let them have a fairly nice life. It does have to be a law; without it the people who abuse these dogs will never face punishment for the suffering they have caused. Morals haven't stopped them before! It's like saying children (innocent, defenseless kids) shouldn't be abused, but do there have to be laws about that?
@Classicre Just as I told one fucking moron above, I will tell you. You are saying that if there was no law against abusing your children you would go home every day and just beat the shit out of them? Just because you feel like it? Some might, but for most they would be unable to cause harm to their own children. A better way to approach the problem would be to raise awareness about the companies who treat the dogs poorly and get people to stop doing business with them.
@DeadlyChinchilla Legislation by itself does nothing. There has to be enforcement. Writing more unenforced legislation is surely a waste of time and money. Put the money in a legal fund for dogs or something constructive. Regulating against a criminal offense is redundant.
At any rate, legislation lays the groundwork for future dealings with similar crimes. Even if it does nothing to stop a current crime, it can give the legal system more ways to deal with offenders in the future. Putting money in a "legal fund for dogs" or something? How effective would that really be? I don't see it being very helpful, in the larger scheme of things.
Damn libs, don't understand that the only way for puppymills to work is to have a free unregulated market, having those conditions would bankrupt them, because all the government bureaucracy, and the free market would hate it, and it would cost taxes, and nobody would get any puppies! Libs hate puppies! Libs hate puppies!
I proved it with conservative logic, so if only Glenn Beck says so, it's 100% confirmed truth, like the bible.
just for fun I looked it up and I did find a prop B in missouri and everything he said in this vid is true. its so weird how in these southern states things are so backwards, nothing about these neo cons make sense. I had to look it up myself to believe
conservatives have one fundamental goal, and that is to inflict as much pain and suffering to the defenseless as possible. these are the same idiots who are pro life, self proclaimed followers of jesus so called "christians" yet they choose to watch people's house burn down without helping, and they love to see innocent puppies get tortured. sounds like i made it up, unfortunately i didnt. its like a big fucking joke, theres no place for these crackheads
@MrDustock Don't get me wrong ! I'm not saying that outsourcing is evil. I'm only saying that in times of dire unemployment, there should be an incentive for companies that keep/create jobs at home and a deterrent for outsourcing.
It might seem legitimate to outsource for improving the return on investment but if the benefit is not re-invested at home, then our country never sees the color of that money so in overall it hurts more than it helps.
To the teabaggers, the government is already in your business. You can't escape from it unless you move to another country. You have been under government eye for many years. Either get over it or get the fuck out.
To all those who defend the Tea Party I have one thing to say.
Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.
As for poverty in America it's actually the working poor who are the largest group in poverty. Fact. A small elite get richer while the rest of us get poorer.
If they really wanted to help people get a leg up instead of trapping us in the system, they would limit how many years we can be on section 8 AND allow us to make and put away as much as we can to get ourselves stableized and permanantly in the work force. Food stamps and all other governmen t programs are built the same way. They are a trap to keep poverty at poverty level, so that we are the ones in the labor force not them. THINK ABOUT THINGS!!! I'm so tired of being voiceless pwrless & poor
look at section 8. If you have start making almost enough money to pay your bills they will take it and you cant apply again for 2 yrs, but you can stay on it indefinately if you are in poverty. So what do most ppl do? They stay on it and not work. Who the hell wants to live on the street? or chance getting a job when they hire and fire so fast in this country it will make your head spin? Who would chance that if have children? Most places now refuse to hire full time. what chance do we have?
For us to work hard our entire lives so they can sit on their asses and line their pockets and suck the worlds resources out of the ground and out of the animals and people too, is messed up. They use up our LIFE. all of our life energy is used up just trying to survive. and they can lounge. they stand on our backs. all of our help is a form of a trap to keep us from getting anywhere. To keep us where we are..poor.
They dont want to poor to travel because if we can travel we can gather. Bush said right on national T.V. We will become a "service" nation,.. well service MEANS slavery. the poor will serve the rich. that is they way it is getting set up and everyone too ignorant to see it. Republicans are EVIL.. to live off of the backs and hard work of other people and the suffering of innoscent ppl and animals and continue to line their own pockets is evil. WAKE UP PEOPLE B4 ITS 2 LATE!
its slavery, they do it to people, why would puppies be any different? Debt bondage is a form of slavery that happens right here in the united states. Our employers do not pay us enough for us to be able to pay our bills in this country. Land taxes and property taxes keep going up. They are making it so you will eventually not be able to take out a loan in this country unless you own more than one property. Soon only the very rich will be able to travel because of the gas prices.
@MrDustock You said it : BEFORE the crash! If you don't have unemployment issues, then it's ok to outsource jobs. But with the current situation, letting companies outsource jobs is suicidal... Plus I'll remind you that it is the number 1 concern of Republican voters... but Republican leaders don't wanna hear about it, since it contraries the corporations who fund political campaigns and put money in the leaders' pockets.
@Anon11674 Even if it was true of some or all republicans, that is Irrelevant to the discussion on weather this is a acceptable, and Cenk's "impersonation," like most his "impersonation," are straw-man arguments and make him appear like a total douche to those of us familiar with the basic arguments of both sides of this issue.
The republican party's main drive has been protecting and promoting business interests, for the last few decades at least. They've become quite blatant about it, viciously attacking any attempt at reform, while neglecting to even propose their own reform plans.
@Anon11674 I think you have a oversimplified view of the republican party and conservatives.
There is a general argument for deregulation and minimization of government influence, which rests on the principle of reduction of coercion, and a belief that the optimal approach to macro economics is a laissez-faire one. While there certainly are incentives in politics to protect the interest of business, there certainly are people in the opposition who argue with a altruistic motivation.
Yes, what I said was somewhat simplified, but it's hard to explain things in these tiny comment boxes.
That's certainly what they say. But look at their actions in recent years. They have been attacking every attempt at business reform, and they've used unconscionably dirty political games to drive their fairly ignorant voter base. And of course they're for deregulation. It makes businesses behave themselves, which cuts possible profits.
I'm just talking about the core of the republican party, this political organization that has sold out to big business because that's where the money is at. And they've also become the Christian Party, because religion is a massively effective and easy political tool.
I've been watching them ever since I got shipped off to Iraq the first time, back in 2005, and I've seen nothing redeemable from that party, other than support for the military. But they have their motives for that, too
I came to the conclusion that the republican party is irredeemable after the 'death panels are gonna kill grandma' thing came about. They truly disgust me.
Interesting thing is, I see a split in their future, between those who just use religion as a tool to control voters, and who actually want a small government that can't make and enforce strong regulation, and the true believers who want a government big enough to control what we do in the bedroom. I can't wait to see the infighting.
@Anon11674 I am not familiar enough with 'death panels are gonna kill grandma' case to comment on it. Furthermore, i am probably not familliar enough with American politics to judge the motivation of any party, I'm not American.
I am however familiar with several arguments for and against having things like firefighting be a government service, and while I personally on the pro side, I find Cenk's caricature of those who disagree disgusting, and logically irrelevant to the generall issue.
Basically, a healthcare reform bill had a part about end-of-life counseling, with the option to choose to end your life. But the republicans twisted that into 'death panels interviewing you for your life, and they kill you if you fail to prove you're still useful'. The republicans act in such a despicable manner more and more often these days.
Well, Cenk's just an entertainer. I think he's funny to watch, but he does address a lot of important issues.
@Anon11674 It may be that the Republican party is irredeemable, they certainly have dragged us Europeans into two wars under Bush. It is my opinion is that there where not sufficient justification for starting these invasions/wars.
I follow American politics with some interest, obviously, and I agree that the future, with the the possibility of a split, is interesting. I think that having only 2 major parties is not a good thing. If only because it turns every discussion into 'us' vs 'them'.
Still not sure exactly what happened with the other place, but Iraq was straight-up bullshit. They claimed they had proof Iraq was building 'weapons of mass destruction', specifically nuclear weapons. But the evidence was never there. And there we still are, after thousands of dead soldiers, and a hundred thousand or so dead Iraqis. It's abominable.
@Anon11674 That was about the impression I had. Those wars are starting to get long too. I guess its more about establishing a functioning government now.
Yup. Sadly, the area will probably fall to the religious fanatics in the country, after we leave. And we'll have a theocratic sworn enemy, rather than some arrogant but relatively harmless tin-pot dictator like Saddam was.
What really pisses me off is that the republicans have fooled a lot of the people into thinking Iraq had something to do with 9-11, and that's why we invaded, or that we went to liberate the Iraqis from Saddam's rule. It's amazing how easily led Americans tend to be.
The republicans have pretty much declared the democrats to be their mortal enemies, and try to cast them as some kind of sinister commie-villain alliance trying to kill America from the inside.
I see the pro-business and fiscal conservative branches of the republican party looking more and more warily at the religious fanatics they're allied with. I can tell they're embarrassed by the loonies in the party, but they have to keep playing along, or the party collapses.
@Anon11674 Yea, I love how socialism is a bad-word over there. Here its not. By your standards, my country is probably a Socialist country. Things aren't perfect, but pretty good.
I like a variation on the communist model myself, but I know it fails when human greed enters the equation. But what system won't fail eventually, when there's wealth to be gained by unscrupulous people? If we eliminate greed someday, communism may be the ideal for us.
@Anon11674 I think a good start to finding that sweet spot where shit doesn't fall apart is start discussing the actual issues rather then playing this us-vs-them game. Thats why I'm not very fond of straw-man/motivation arguments. The betterment of mankind may come over time if we do find that sweet-spot.
@Anon11674 That may be true for most cases, sadly... The best one can do is point out blatant logical fallacies and factual inaccuracies when one finds them.
It sometime seems as if politicians and pundits are trying to piss me off by begging the question and using straw man arguments left and right. That may just be my narcissism talking.
I said I like the idea, but it doesn't work in RL, with humans the way they are. And nowhere did I say America should turn communist.
And I didn't say pro-business is automatically bad. The republican party is unashamedly pro-business at the expense of the people. They represent very well the ugly, greedy side of capitalism
And I know I never sang the praises of our president. How bout you pay attention to what I say, instead of trying to read my mind? You're acting like an ass.
The republican party is plainly pro-business, and attacks every attempt to reform and properly regulate business, and they attack pretty much every social program.
Anti-republican = communist? Am I reading you right? Or is anyone who's not one hundred percent pro-business, free-market, so on and so forth, a communist? Things are not as black and white as you appear to think.
I guess I have to say it straight out for you to get it. I'm not democrat or pro-Obama, you dimwit!
You need to pay attention to something other than republican rhetoric, and go talk to some democrats. I don't really give a rat's ass about your democrat-bashing. Go bitch at some democrats about what you think their leaders did wrong.
@3dartistguy The problem has been and will continue to be the globalization of our economy. The two wars certainly didn't help us any, they were more costly than ALL of the entitlement programs put together, but you will never hear a Republican say that.
But back to globalization. Why would an American company pay us a cost of living wage when they can pay some Indian $1 a day? The only way we're gonna become competitive with them is to stoop down to third-world living standards.
@3dartistguy As I'm sure you know, the military is technically a part of the government, they are not an independent service. So do you want to create more government jobs, or do you want to grow the private sector? Which is it Teabagger?
@3dartistguy Do you read what you type? If the military is not a "part" of the government, than how would Obama even be able to "reduce our military readiness"? While the military are not involved in actual governing on any level, they could easily be considered the "armed wing" or "enforcer" of the government. Their budget and code of conduct is set by the government, and they don't act without government approval. So if they are not part of government, they're pretty damn close.
@3dartistguy I'm not saying that I think the military is lazy or doesn't earn their money, but I do believe that our military doesn't need to be spread all over the globe like a friggin empire. Imagine how much money it would save us if we just focused on securing our own borders instead of acting like the world's police.
About terrorism, I think we should focus on building up our intelligence services rather than the military. The military only really helps if we are attacked by a NATION.
Cenk shouldn't make broad-brush statements like "the conservative party hates puppies" since this legislation is only being considered and opposed in one state.
Heavens forbid that the government wants to make sure that animals are treated better. You Republicans make me sick. Your philosophy would have people starving and dying in the streets because they cannot afford to live, as long as you can have your mocha latte, your copy of the Wall Street Journal, and your 25 foot speedboat. Because you're better than everyone else, you deserve it, and so what if there are starving kids in America? Let someone else pay for it.
You know what i see the problem is? To a Republican, things that are decent, and humane, and good, are ok, ONLY so long as the government is not involved, and only so much as it is cost effective to be decent, humane and good. Only as long as these decent, humane and good things are profitable and taxable. And only as long as those who benefit from all things decent, humane and good PAID for it. Because people who cannot pay for it, should NEVER have it. Republicans are a disease.
@LordSnow69 No, actually your VERY wrong. The Young Turks were progressives/reformers in the final years of the Ottoman Empire, who tried to clean up the mess the conservatives had made.
how the fuck does this garbage said by this epic douche get on the front page without an agenda behind it, FACT socialism is failing in Europe, and has failed everytime its been attempted the rest is bullshit my fellow civilians dont let this bullshit distract you from the left getting caught imposing the biggest fraud in history CARBON TAXES
It is an unneccasary form of spending. the government was not designed or laid out by the constitution to take care of every living breathing thing on earth.... In my next episode I'll tell you how I made my millions doing it.
earlyhemibill 8 months ago

Ilovesaxthrice 1 year ago
@Ilovesaxthrice you're fucking stupid and you have no idea how companies work. companies will do whatever makes them money and they dont care about anything else. it has to be law otherwise they will continue abusing the animals and face no consequences. For example it is pretty obvious you shouldnt kill someone but if their was no law stating that what would stop you?

@d3l1a4973 Okay, you fucking moron. You're saying that if there were no law against killing people you would kill every mother fucker who crossed your path? Yes, there are sleezebags, but not every single company is doing "whatever makes them money" and not caring "about anything else".

Classicre 1 year ago
@Classicre Is this typical of ALL or even MOST puppy mills in Missouri? One thing I've learned over the years about cases such as these is that there is usually one and on rare occasions two businesses who abuse the law. VERY rarely is it typical of ALL of them. In that case, deal with those who are in the wrong and don't put the welfare of ALL of the businesses at stake.
Ilovesaxthrice 1 year ago
@Classicre And how much experience do you have in the field? I am good friends with a professional dog trainer. He has two black labs who are incredible animals. They are let out of their kennels to train and on rare occasion come into the house to play. The dogs absolutely adore him. There is NO cruel treatment involved. Dogs simply don't need to run about freely ALL the fucking time. If dogs are unhappy, they will show it in their performance. These dogs are NOT unhappy.
Ilovesaxthrice 1 year ago
@Ilovesaxthrice Don't go and say you have experience in the field cause you have a friend who is a dog trainer. I have none but judging from what you've said you don't either. & two dogs not used for breeding and that have been socialized can't be compared to ones in puppy mills. "A high-volume, sub-standard dog breeding operation, which sells...dogs to unsuspecting buyers." Note 'sub-standard'; it means places defined as pm's are treating their dogs poorly. Just let the dogs have an okay life!
Classicre 1 year ago
@Classicre I never said that I had experience, asshole. I simply stated that I know somebody that has experience in the field. And read JJJJview07's post. Is it possible that this is why the Republicans are against? I'm betting the Missouri Vet Association knows MUCH more about the subject than any sensationalized YouTube video or either of us. Those are the facts. Go read them.
Ilovesaxthrice 1 year ago
@Ilovesaxthrice And yes, that probably would happen, but its for the dogs' good. This law would prevent dogs from suffering and let them have a fairly nice life. It does have to be a law; without it the people who abuse these dogs will never face punishment for the suffering they have caused. Morals haven't stopped them before! It's like saying children (innocent, defenseless kids) shouldn't be abused, but do there have to be laws about that?
What else would stop you from hurting them?
Classicre 1 year ago

PsyberSourcerer 1 year ago
@PsyberSourcerer I can't tell what comment you're replying to.

Food stamps and all other governmen t programs are built the same way. They are a trap to keep poverty at poverty level, so that we are the ones in the labor force not them. THINK ABOUT THINGS!!! look at section 8.

To keep us where we are..poor.

Soon only the very rich will be able to travel because of the gas prices.

qonf 1 year ago
@qonf
The republican party's main drive has been protecting and promoting business interests, for the last few decades at least. They've become quite blatant about it, viciously attacking any attempt at reform, while neglecting to even propose their own reform plans.
Anon11674 1 year ago
@Anon11674 I think you have a oversimplified view of the republican party and conservatives.
There is a general argument for deregulation and minimization of government influence, which rests on the principle of reduction of coercion, and a belief that the optimal approach to macro economics is a laissez-faire one. While there certainly are incentives in politics to protect the interest of business, there certainly are people in the opposition who argue with a altruistic motivation.
qonf 1 year ago
@qonf
Where did I mention conservatives here?
Anon11674 1 year ago
@qonf
But they have their motives for that, too
Anon11674 1 year ago
@qonf
Anon11674 1 year ago
@Anon11674 I am not familiar enough with 'death panels are gonna kill grandma' case to comment on it. Furthermore, i am probably not familliar enough with American politics to judge the motivation of any party, I'm not American.
I am however familiar with several arguments for and against having things like firefighting be a government service, and while I personally on the pro side, I find Cenk's caricature of those who disagree disgusting, and logically irrelevant to the generall issue.
qonf 1 year ago
@qonf
Anon11674 1 year ago

Anon11674 1 year ago
@Anon11674 That was about the impression I had. Those wars are starting to get long too. I guess its more about establishing a functioning government now.
qonf 1 year ago
@qonf
Anon11674 1 year ago
@qonf
Anon11674 1 year ago
@Anon11674 Yea, I love how socialism is a bad-word over there. Here its not. By your standards, my country is probably a Socialist country. Things aren't perfect, but pretty good.

@qonf
I like a variation on the communist model myself, but I know it fails when human greed enters the equation. But what system won't fail eventually, when there's wealth to be gained by unscrupulous people? If we eliminate greed someday, communism may be the ideal for us.
Anon11674 1 year ago
@Anon11674 I think a good start to finding that sweet spot where shit doesn't fall apart is start discussing the actual issues rather then playing this us-vs-them game. Thats why I'm not very fond of straw-man/motivation arguments. The betterment of mankind may come over time if we do find that sweet-spot.
qonf 1 year ago
@qonf
Sadly, self-interest prevents that dialogue from even starting, or kills it when it starts.
Anon11674 1 year ago
@Anon11674 That may be true for most cases, sadly... The best one can do is point out blatant logical fallacies and factual inaccuracies when one finds them.

And I know I never sang the praises of our president. How bout you pay attention to what I say, instead of trying to read my mind? You're acting like an ass.

@3dartistguy

@3dartistguy
