The Philippine National Anthem grabbed the first runner-up prize in the World's National Anthem Competition of all the Nations. There's no wonder about it. It's a very meaningful and patriotic anthem. I have read the English version of it, very nice and nationalistic.

Yes Thai and Indonesian are bad in English, but they are middle income countries. Philippines is one of poorest country on earth. I am very proud of Philippines. Actualy there are 3 version of Philippine National anthem. The Original version is in Spanish "Tierra Adorada" then the American version "Land of the Morning" and the Filipino Version where we are adopting today is "Lupang Hinirang". I Hope we could have the 3 versions here, especialy the orginal version which is in Spanish.

I remember this poem written by Jose Rizal... "Adios Patria Adorada. I ordered two books he wrote, "Noli Me Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo". both books are in spanish. Actualy there are 3 version of Philippine National anthem. The Original version is in Spanish "Tierra Adorada" then the American version "Land of the Morning" and the Filipino Version where we are adopting today is "Lupang Hinirang". I Hope we could have the 3 versions here, especialy the orginal version which is in Spanish.

It shows gratitude towards them even though I don't believe in war as a good thing.I guess I am not as brave as they are. My uncle died in the "Death March Of Bataan". no. it was originally done in 2 languages: filipino (mostly tagalog though) and spanish, then later translated into english when it was the american period just so they could understand it.
