  • Very sweet move! Thank you for sharing!

  • Its a neat little trick. I use something of the sort. Is this named after the coriolis effect? If so I am curious as to the percieved relation between the move and its namesake. If not its still a neat trick and thanks for posting.

  • The name Coriolis was actually coined by Michael Finnie (an amazing stick player who travels with the Ren Faire in the US). I had been working on the move in a different context but had no name for it, because I don't really care that much about naming things. So I went with him on it.

  • Its relevance to the Coriolis Acceleration and Effect is well put however. In Mechanics the Coriolis Acceleration is explicitly stated as part of the Acceleration of an object in Polar Coordinates. The Coriolis Accel is present whenever the distance from the central rotation point and the angle of the object relative to an inertial reference frame are both changing (your body).

  • In the case of the move Coriolis you do change the distance from your center to the stick and it passes through changing angles as a result, which you know.

  • But no, I'm not convinced that this is somehow related to (omega) x (rotational velocity) or that the effect has some huge influence on it. But someone already named it that... I liked it....and Michael is fun.

  • thats a bit harder then it looks but not a lot

    p.s dude ur sooo cooooool
