never understood the combat in this, so you can use a pre-prepared card once in a fight and you can use 3 stances one depletes a energy bar and two charge it. never saw like the fighting on screen realy reacts to the stances except the music change

@GreenEarth28 i think is more like Riviera is the sequel to Yggdra Union, remember that in Riviera the ragnarok has already passed while in Yggdra Union ragnarok is one of the 3 alternative endings. Also, Marietta appears in Riviera already as a Fallen Angel

Okay, can you do me a favor? I've heard of all these things about the psp version, but all i've managed to find after extensive searching is the addition of four new playable characters. Mistel, Bly, Pamela, and #367 or something (who i have not been able to find any evidence of).

Can you please tell me what's different in the psp version and clarify how exactly there's a reference to Grim Angels in Riveria

However, tis interesting to note this ending. Ragnarok in Riviera was started by the "demons". Would Asgard not label those who strike at them "demons"? Plus, they did come from Riviera, known here as Ancardia. Perhaps this ending is the true ending, in which case we know what happens next.

The games are linked. You can be sure that Marietta is the same for Riviera, Knights of the Nightmare, and Yggdra Union. Hector, the evil magus, was the cause of it all, in his plot to become the one god. Thus, those two games take place before Riviera, where Hector was stopped.

Eff. Just beat it on my first playthrough (So obviously, not on Hard) and the game goes "Fin." after you kill Marietta. So, apparently that map is Hard Mode only. And I admit, I thought the game was Hard as is D:  That is, until, you power train Milanor, Durant, and Mistel, and Union them with Cards that are 4K+ in Power... :P

Good news to those who have psp version for this game. After the fight with marietta, u can fight in an additional chapter. I found out about this after beating marietta in hard mode. Dont know it will work for normal mode or not

I cant explain well but i can tell u that the person u will be fighting will be using a diviner and is a girl. However, u will need to fight her 2 times. Not easy though cause she has 9999 morale in the 2nd fight and level 30. First time u fight her is lvl 15. And the girl is much tougher than marietta

it's simple really... all you have to do is wait for 20-30 loses... and the fallen angel's morale will drop to one... to do that.. you must not use thhe crusader... do it as your finishing move... but be sure that her morale is 1... check her stats every finish of the your turn... (20-25 check her status) and you must be alert on her A.S shield... it will turn into S Shield.. that way you'll use the crusader successfully... GBA or PSP this is how the game works... patience is the only way...

ok u get all the full str/gen and keep atking her then keep checking mortal till it his 0 then get the hair band and crusade her when its 1 mortal, so basically save best cards for last

the psp is better cuz if u max milanor,cruz,and mistal u can plow threw any one even Gulcasa in 2 or 3 turns xD

I bought this game a few weeks ago, but I really hate having to fight against someone while using Yggdra. Every time I use her, I lose all of my morale even while having more morale than the enemy. Is it just me, or is Yggdra hard to control? Or weak?

ok u atk only the sword, axes, and bows but once shes a higher levellike 6-9 dont mind the swords and bows (unless u fighting russel) (make sure the frencer is weaken or your screwed make sure that u have the silk corset before atking sword or u'll die. level 1-5) oh and dont ever use her to fight undines/knights shes bad fighting spears

Alright, thanks! I'll try that, but it's still really hard for me because when I used her on Map 2, I had like 1 morale left before defeating them, and I almost lose every time. But thanks anyway, I guess I just have to get better at it.

Another way to measure Marietta's remaining Morale (besides her quotes) is look at her sprite. Once her Morale is below 9999 she begins to lean on her staff.

When her morale is down to 1,(either by looking at her info or when she speaks different things) her AS shield becomes S sheild,blocking all skills except for crusade

this game is awesome. it has really good special effects and a great bgm collection. it's an hard game sometime but it's really great.

and i've never seen the advent of ragnarok before, marietta never loose her morale by winning,idk why..

well the answer is to lose battles if she wins here morale goes down(weird...) and when her morale reaches 1 her A.S shield changes into S shield at wich point crusade can kill her

She has "HP Control" when she uses it to keep her HP up it drains her Morale. So keep clashing with her until her Morale hits 1. You can tell how low her Morale is by looking at her too. As her Morale hits below 9000 her quotes change and at 1 she's leaning on her staff like that.

You get cruz back in Battlefield 23.5, the hidden battlefield that you can get to from 23 (have to take a unit to upper right corner of map to reveal another target flag point). Cruz was my weakest guy in terms of overall stars, though, and his LUK maxes at 2 so you need serious items to boost it up (I saved those items for Yggdra so she was 6 stars across the board starting battlefield 40)
