  • I use this recipe with a boneless pork roast (1-1/2 to 2 lb.). To cut down on the saltiness of it, I substitute 2 Tbsp. dried minced or chopped onion for the onion soup mix and use 1/2 chicken broth and 1/2 water. Then I cook it until it shreds, mix it in with the yummy gravy, and serve it over a bed of freshly mashed potatoes or rice. Very tender and AWESOME!

  • i smoke my crock

  • I found you girls on Facebook and wondered where you went and reading some things found you had to change some things. We are so glad I found you. Now I get to tease, since I'm old enough to be your granpa... :) You think those chops are thick?? Sweetie, you need some Iowa Chops......... <3

  • Thanks for sharing I am going to try and make this today!

  • Mean while in Africa....

  • I made this recipe. I would recommend boneless pork chops. The meat will fall off the bone. I had to dig out the bones before we ate and some were very small. Great recipe.

  • Made this last night. It was seriously delicious! It was a little salty for my taste, so I'll probably make some changes next time. Anytime I've made pork chops they've been too dry. I don't know why I didn't think of using the crock pot. Thanks crock pot girls!!

  • just tried this one and it came out really well. Did it in the morning and set it for 8 hours. It finished at 3 and I got home just before 8 and the chops were FALLING apart. Thank you

  • Can't wait to try this! Was wondering if you could put all into a freezer bag and freeze it to be cooked later?

  • if you mixed it in the crock pot BEFORE you added the pork chops, you wouldn't have to dirty an extra dish :)

  • Great presentation..... I am a truck driver, and I have a small crock-pot that I carry in the truck.. a lot of recpt that I find on YOUTUBE is tried in the truck... THIS one will be one that I will try. Thank you for posting it...

  • Can't wait to try this recipe :)

**love your Scentsy in the back ground**

  • Made this last week and my family went ballistic! :) To the point that when I wanted to make it again today and didn't have the pork gravy mix, my husband VOLUNTEERED to go to the grocery store to get it instead of leaving it out like I planned! Good stuff, ladies, thank you!

  • I think you all have some great ideas. These ladies never put out there that these are 'low sodium, healthy recipes', just some crock pot recipe ideas which any of you are free to modify to your specific tastes. You can always lower the sodium content by using herbs instead of the soup mixes, low-sodium vegetable broth instead of chicken, or even just water. You can also use the low-fat chicken soup mix. Life's too short for drama over cooking videos! :)

  • I tried this but I added baby carrots and red potatoes and it was amazing!!!!!

  • @kellyb228 that sounds like a yummy idea!

  • I made this for dinner tonight.....WONDERFUL!

  • I think they should learn how to use a whisk instead of a spoon.

  • I cant believe people are fighting on a crock pot recipe video *_*

  • @mamatina2009 Haha! People on the internet will fight about anything.

  • Read the directions on your Crock pot. I have one like it and I made the mistake of locking it while cooking. That's a no no. The locks are only for when transporting.

  • The only thing I would do is to braise the chops off lightly before I put them in the crock pot...I dont like the boiled meat flavor and like the braised flavor frying them lightly in a skillet provides.

  • It looked like the pork was in chunks? Is that right? I've never fixed pork chops in the crock pot before so I wasn't sure...

  • @mel4me0404 it's probably so tender it fell off the bone :)

  • TOO SALTY! Just doesn't need additional salt in broth ... use water & use 1/2 packet on Onion soup. 1/2 the family of 4 loved it ... other half thought it tasted like DOG FOOD!! LOL

  • made this for dinner..it was a big hit! loved it!

  • Talk about "policing the internet" -- I just looked through the replies and saw that one was blocked out and marked as "spam" when I opened it, all it was was a very polite reply someone posted offering a list of healthier options. Wow -- just, wow. THAT is pretty bad. Which of you marked it as spam so that it was censored?? Nice.

  • @LibrtyKera At the same time I totally give these two ladies positive props for being super nice and making a crock pot video series! I LOVE my crook pots and I found this video while searching for recipes.

  • this sounds wonderful!! Putting it on my menu for next week! :D

  • I would have to modify this heavy because basically you made MSG, salt, and chemical covered pork chops, but I DO like the idea and I thank you for posting it.

  • You ladies are adorable! Thanks for the great recipe!!!

  • I'm ALWAYS looking for something to do with pork chops. So can not wait to try this. Thanks so much!!

  • You really need to give credit to people when you use their recipe.

  • Cambell's does have a heart healthy lower sodium cream of chicken soup. Also, you can skip the soup mixes by using 2 TBS of Kitchen Bouquet and a half of a real onion finely diced.

The chicken broth you don't need as it is already in the cream soup so just use a little water and you will be fine. It won't make a difference.

You can also use onion flakes if you want - I just like real onion. A recipe isn't bad because of salt content - you just have to learn to adjust the recipes.

  • This is such an awesome idea. I am always looking for easy to make recipes since I am a busy mom and am going to school myself. Thanks for the ideas.

  • thanks!

  • If too much salt, modify. If you want more "real" ingredients, modify and add them. If you want more healthy ingredients "healthy choice soups, reduced sodium soup and broths, modify and add them. Don't complain, use this video as an idea, something to inspire you! Thank you ladies for a great video. You have inspired me!

  • @mccannnable well said! you never have to follow a recipe exactly and i sure as heck never do :) that way i can make it my own. well said!!!

  • This sounds wonderful!! And I love your crock pot girls site............so much to chose from. And yes, for those of you who don't like the ingredients, chose another recipe or alter the one you are viewing. Use some creativity, these girls have!! C'mon!!!!!!!

  • @Signe52003 LOL, if I had their creativity in the kitchen, I wouldn't need to look up recipes online and then follow them word-for-word! :)

  • think I will make this for dinner..thanks!

  • If you can't say something positive, don't criticize. It's up to YOU to modify this recipe! If you want fresh herbs or other ingredients, or lower salt content, that's up to you, just DO IT! Don't rip down what you don't understand. This is a niche kind of a service, it is free, deal with it.

  • @dianaj54 I was simply offering an opinion, not "ripping it down" and I do understand -- I was simply making a request of a couple of women who have a great website. Don't be so offended and read it with such abrasiveness; you're taking my comment wrong if that is the case.

  • thank you for another great recipe idea! i will definately be making this one soon! (as for healthy, serve it on brown rice!) :0) see you next monday!

  • Get a frickin' life......if you don't like the ingredients, or think it is unhealthy....

DON"T MAKE IT! and find something better to do than policing the Internet just to criticize people.

  • @LibrtyKera Sorry but if you put something up in a public type forum don't expect everyone to agree with you.

The SALT content ALONE in this recipe off the cuff seeing the ingredients they use has to be around 500 to 1000 times your normal daily intake. Literally everything they add to this it is also a MSG and chemical food nightmare! One might as well dump a 2 pounds of salt and an entire bottle of Accent/MSG on it and than cook it. This is worse than Chinese food and super unhealthy.

  • @lordvelos Why would someone possibly waste their time criticizing others such as you do lordvelos? Perhaps you're feeling inadequate. Power hungry? Control freak? Yes, it is public, therefore, if you don't like it and don't agree with it, don't visit the site-muchless waste even more of your time commenting on it. Why don't you use your time to set up your own website displaying your recipies? I have an idea for what to call your group, "Low Salt Crock Pot Bully" GET A LIFE!

  • @LibrtyKera if you bothered to look I DO post my recipes and more. Now who is criticizing who? And you claim I have no life? And I see you didn't bother to read my other post on here did you?

@LibrtyKera At the same time I totally give these two ladies positive props for being super nice and making a crock pot video series!

And you claim I have no life but YOU can criticize all like?

  • @LibrtyKera You know, I am a supporter of their site and have gotten lots of people to join it. I have every right to request recipes with healthier ingredients or healthier alternatives by expressing an opinion. Maybe in the future they will make this and say "or you can make it healthier by..." and everyone is happier. No harm, no foul. I thank the people who listed healthier ideas under the video without trying to make people feel bad. :)

  • I'm sure its good but not good for you.... lets see some vegetables and fresh herbs - give you much better results, more tasty and better for you than all that salt and chemicals

  • I wonder if there is low sodium cream of chicken, I'd do that and low sodium chicken broth. Should still be very good! thanks ladies!!!

  • I already have all the ingredients in my pantry, so I've got dinner planned for tomorrow! Thanks. Love what you're doing.

  • Can you do this with a pork roast?

  • @Swayzee68 Yes sadly I agree with you.

  • Yummy, gonna do this on Tuesday!

  • Probably tasty but ASTRONOMICALLY high in salt!

  • A wire wisk works really well in mixing ingredients into Creamy Soups. Just a thought!! :) This looks like a GREAT recipe, and an EASY one!! Thanks!
