ok ok he obviously meant 47, he misspoke because he was nervous. but i dont understand why he cant put his hand on his heart for the national anthem, especially because everybody else there was doing it. no it doesnt truly matter, yes its just a gesture, but there was no reason not to do it and its weird that he didnt.

In all fairness, many Americans don't the words to the plege or the anthem, and many have embarrassed themselves trying. Does that make them less patriotic? Patriotism is in the mind, not body posture. Obama's posture is technically wrong, but at least respectful, which is the more important thing. Speaking technically, Mr Richardson should be at attention, Mr Edwards hand doesn't appear to be over his heart either, & they should all be facing the flag behind them!!!
