...pretty intensely, their physically massive spontaneous go go boy, half in the shadows. Next thing you know some kids near me started to loosen up and dance, and then a wave rolled across the floor of people dancing like crazy. This is a huge, ancient space with vaulted brick ceilings, spookily lit, and The Plastics were an explosion of color and movement and spastic but solid dance beats. The whole place went ballistic. A beautiful scene... perhaps their greatest performance.

Then The Plastics hit the stage as the opening band, and the Tuxedomoon fans didn't know what to do. The Plastics were more ferociously pop crazy and incredibly tight, and Chica Sato was far more elegant and electrifying than any of the existing YouTube videos show.
