  • Thanks dude, I am a police cadet

  • what what what

  • All I heard was end A and end B.. o.O

  • I understand this just fine, i don't know what you guys are talking about...

Oh crap, i forgot my mute was on.

    ;)

  • fijits are for loners...

  • tie end (A(x^B)*a^2)A*B/C

  • Im a boy scout.

Thanks for showing me but,a boy scout could show much easier

  • I'd say it is a strong knot. We use it in mountaineering and it's a knot i've had my life depend upon.

  • now i can hang myself!

  • @shegwin They have a hangman's noose howto.

  • sounds like every harley-davidson repair manual if you are every unlucky enough to have to look something up in one...

go to figure a, paragraph 3, section d, line h, venn-diagram b and stick your head up your ass and wish you were working on a different motorcycle.

  • I wish they would use a continuous shot. Contrasting rope colors would help too. At least I was able to follow this one. The constrictor knot video was horrible. It was really easy when I found a good video.

  • thanks a lot

  • What good is a knot if it isn't strong?

  • Terrible explanation. Far too confusing. A boy scout could explain this better.

  • @100trueneutral I'm a scout thank you very much

  • So basically just 2 half hitch knots stuck together..

  • It's actually an extremely strong rope.

    My guide:

Step 1: Tie a knot from rope A to rope B

Step 2: Tie a knot from rope B to rope A on the other end

Step 4: Pull the rope that isn't tied on each end and they will come together.

  • @WeaselStudio you missed step 3

  • I actually got it! Thanks!!!

  • this a very strong knot i'm a commercial fishermen an use this all the time , the rope will part before the knot fails!

  • That knot is 100% useless, it won't hold nearly as well as almost any other knot.

    Also, you suck at explaining.

  • I MADE THIS WHEN I WAS 7 YEARS OLD ITS NOT THAT HARD

  • step 1... loop end A over end B.... step 2... SHUT THE FUCK UP YOUR CONFUSING ME

  • theres only like 4 steps and you guys made it out to 8 confusing

  • so this is like a double square knot?

  • confusing

  • next....how to tie ur shoes

  • Thanks! finally I know how to tie a fisherman's knot(:

  • The term "Dog Knot" when the dog mates, this tissue swells in order to sort of "latch" on to the female dog to prevent his penis from slipping out of her.

  • ITS SUMMER YOU FUCKING RETARD NO ONE WANTS TO LEARN SHIT YOU FUCKING RETARD GOD DAMNIT

  • lol whut?

  • Lousy explanation. B&A. Way to be counter-intuitive from the beginning. In English, we go from left-to-right; A should come before B. It would be too simple to use colored tape? I 2nd calholli's comment. This reminds me of stupid people assigned to teach math and science they don't understand to undergrads. They'll make it as confusing as possible to make themselves feel smart. If you understand something well, you can explain it to an 11 year old. If you lose your audience, it's your fault.

  • WTF HOW THE HELL DO I UNDERSTAND THIS FUCK U HOWCAST U NEED TO LEARN HOW TO EXPLAIN THINGS EASILY LIKE THIS GOES OVER THIS NOT A B B A FUCK

  • thks!

  • i learned it quick thanks

  • holy crap how am i supposed tofigure this out ba z x c f l t y n through b and a ll the way back t y

  • great we just learned how to hang a nigger

  • ThAts So Stupid - End A And End B - How Gay

  • why DID*

  • what an idiot why does you make it harder you can just say right hand rope and left hand rope no need to make it complicated to rope A and rope B zzzz....

  • I like this one. I usually used what I call a BlooD Knot for this, but this one seemed easier.

  • why use A and B anyway???

  • @FreeCandyVan99 Sometimes it is hard

  • WOW..

I've never seen such a simple knot explained so confusingly.. lol..

  • @calholli yeah. i think i would be in a spot of trouble if for some reason i needed this knot

  • @calholli hahaha 2 true

  • @calholli this video is fucking retarded

  • @calholli word

  • This is what i use to tie buoys to lobster traps its never broke.

  • This is the fishermans bend, not the fishermans knot. Good explanation of it though.

  • fucking advertisements

  • @WINDHAMMAN i hate it to bro

  • it is strong

  • can stop posting the rubbish comment?whoever post things like yasminsilvermoon , kalkinas1 and jakovgjor4e.i know your mom din teach u guys how to be more mature(to those who post rubbish comment).

  • Could you say a few words about the commercial.

  • TLDR

  • men lol det är ju 2 kärring knutar..

  • haha aa precis

  • there's a different way to do this, called the barrel knot

  • How to untie it

  • Cross end B into end A. Step 3. Pull end b from back to front. Step five. Tighten the knot of end a and attacth it through B. Step 8, pull the knot you made when you pulled tightly with your left hand. Step 12. Tighten the knot on end b.

  • it's really difficult if you do it with fishing line. i use this in some cases where i have to cut the line when it's tangled and it's already casted out

  • hoo ever said luv was strong?

  • I did know that

  • i saw this on man vs wild. the more tension added to the knot, the stronger it is. the less tension... well... if your hanging for life on a mountain slope... your screwed.

  • Come on people don't be like that...i wanted to know how a fisherman's knot is done and now i know....they could come up with better ideas though:D

  • So..it's basically a knot in which in a single rope both ends are attached to the rope somwhere near their opposite end.

    *Insert video demonstration*

See? It's that simple, and I didn't have to say LOOP like a thousand times.

I didn't knew how to do this.

But c'mon Mr. Howcast, it isn't as if you're getting payed for every video you upload....

    Make it useful at least...

(Telling how to make a knot but not telling a great use for it = useless)

  • How about telling us what such a knot is used for?

  • It's used for tying two lines together. In fishing you sometimes need to tie two different size lines together; hence the name Fisherman's knot.

  • i'm sorry, but this is just starting to get pathetic.

come up with more GOOD ideas...

  • 1st

  • Haha, it WOULDN'T be an incredibly strong knot, would it?

  • OMG OMG FIRST!@!@! -_-

Does it really matter? I mean really lol

  • its called a uni knot.

  • yeah first to comment

  • lol fail.

  • first comment!

  • lol fail.

  • First???

  • i'm commenting because it gets annoying when peoplw say "first"

  • I know what you mean..

I mean, what are they thinking? It isn't as if you're going to get prizes or points for posting first or stuff XD
