  • omg yessss<3 finally an understandable one. like...yay. but i actually have one question...when you skip to make it tighter...do you skip on the end of it????? lol dumb question but i'm kind of a dumb person.

  • Finally a crochet video I understand!!

  • Thank you so much i have been trying to find a video to learn how to crochet hats. yours is the only one i found that made any sense to me. thank you

  • when the beanie is small, like the circle, is it okay for it to start curling

  • This was perfect! I have been trying to learn how to do this forever, so many people have tried to teach and I even bought books. I sooo appreciate the laymans terms and not all the fancy jargan, and your great sense of humor kept me interested. Thanks so much from a straight haired white girl in Oregon!!! :)

  • lol mines starting to vurl..i think im doing it to tight...

  • LMAO!! "Once it's sits on your big ASS head!!" lmao I love it

  • thanks for helping me

  • KUDOS TO THIS VID! I am well on my way to starting a hat. Finally! :p This is the only tutorial that I could get sense out of! My mom taught me the verrrry basic chain stitch kind of by feel instead of the robotic ch 3 st 6 mumbo jumbo instructions, so this vid is easier for me to understand. 5 stars. :)

  • Your amazing, I was lost with the tutorial I was watching before this!

  • Wow this is so much easier to follow than most of the tutorials I've seen! thatnk you this was refreshing.

  • i like your hat a lote but i cannot do it right. all the time i try it never comes out .

it curve to fast and it dos not come out right. what is wrong?

please e mail me at annmaniscalco@aol.com

  • I have watched so many of these videos and THIS is the first one that makes complete sense to a beginner like me!! Thank you!!

  • "Big ass head", like it. I had this very thing explained to me this morning. Your video just reinforced it. I now understand. Thank You. :-)

  • hi! what kinda of yarn and what size crocheting hook did you use for the beanie in this video??

  • lol@"five -head".... :)

  • I could hug you right nowww! I've been trying to figure out how to start a beanie for HOURS but all the other videos were too hard to see (I'm brand new to crocheting and can't follow written instructions!) but you used easy to see yarn at an easy to see angle with very clear instructions. OH I COULD HUG YOU *HHHHHUUUUUGGGG!!!!*

  • Awesome-you made it so simple and easy to understand for someone like me who is new at this! Thank you!

  • Im noticing that my circle is starting to wave up in certain spots as I'm going around. Is that normal?

  • @UniquelyUndefined

Has she ever replied to your question? cause i'm having the same issue too.

  • @solicities

Instead of increasing every other stitch, try doing it every 3rd stitch, I had the same problem as well

  • i love how you explain it!!! I am new to crocheting so i dont know all the terms yet, so normal words work for me haha. Thanks a ton!

  • I love your style of instruction! Perfect for me! thanks- Amy

  • can u make me one and mail it too me pls thank you

  • I'm not making any at the moment but if it becomes my hustle, I'll let the masses know :)

  • could you show a pic of the final beanie you made

  • Thanks Curly!

I hope you do not mind me abbreviating your name. I just do not like typing long names :). But, anyway, great video. I used to be apprehensive with crocheting, because just about every woman in my family either knits or crochets. Now that I have seen your video, I am more confident that I can maybe make my own beanie, or [who knows] a scarf. I always wanted to make my own little fuzzy one. I just think that they are sooo cute!

  • awesome thank you so much for this ive finally worked out why mine end up so big and baggy!

  • when i was a kid there was a segment on sesame street where these hands would like do magic tricks...or they had hands with eyes on them that would talk to each other and ...lol well your hands at the end remind me of that show...lol its funny and hay cute beanie

  • I lovvvve crocheting!!!!!!

  • lol "once it fits on your big ass head"

  • Thanks! That gives me something new to corchet

  • Yay! You are the best for sharing this girlie!
