For the rest, T34, shermansand pershing were able to destroy panzers.

The viking heritage of the Norman quickly died, and they became French people after years of intermixing with the French people.

Medieval period yes England had more sucess, but all through the medieval period France was filled with deserters (e.g Normans) and they were constantly at war with England, Rebels, and Tuetonic orders.

mate, it went sorta well, you have the right ideas, but two handed heavy infantry should only be used for attacking, notice at 2.20 that their t-h heavy infantry was RIGHT into your shielded H infantry, you should use your sheld h infantry all at the front, then have your 2 handed in a thin line behind them, as soon as the crunch happens, move your men forward by clicking behind the enemy, this will keep the strong line, but allow the 2 handed infantry to do alot of damage and renforce the line

@commensence1 France is NOT gaul. The Gauls were a celtic people the roman invasion destroyed their heritage. Gauls were a dead civilization by the time Rome fell. French (as the name suggests) are the heirs of Franks who conquered most of north-western europe. The english and french are basicaly the same people, both celts conquered by germanic tribes. History proves that were so similar that we often fought to prove to each other who should rule both territories.

They were the first to occupy french territory and were conquered by Romans who later became Gaulish-Romans (mostly near Marseilles now). The Franks invaded and assimilated the population and became the noble class. Later, the vikings attacked Paris and were convinced to cease hostilities in exchange of Normandy (Normand is the french translation for North-Man).

The celts and the Gaulish-Romans were always considered peasant class until the French Revolution of 1789. Well, actually not true, the hundred years war was a series of wars which England won most of, six wars i believe and England won for of them, only losing the Caroline war and Castillian civil war, but winning the Breton succession, Two peters, Lancastrian, and the Edwardian war.

just set it to low settings, i find that the things that will make your computer lag the most in m2tw are unit detail, grass detail and bloom effect( i dont have a great system , only a 128 mb video card lol, but i can still run without any lag on low settings), just sacrifice some of the settings that make your game look nice, and youl get a better fps

mate, it went sorta well, you have the right ideas, but two handed heavy infantry should only be used for attacking, notice at 2.20 that their t-h heavy infantry was RIGHT into your shielded H infantry, you should use your sheld h infantry all at the front, then have your 2 handed in a thin line behind them, as soon as the crunch happens, move your men forward by clicking behind the enemy, this will keep the strong line, but allow the 2 handed infantry to do alot of damage and renforce the line

The french did thier best but both the french and british were expecting a fight just like WWI not the Blitzkrieg they got in WWII. You have to give everyone credit in every conflict. Every army has thier shitty moments just like they have thier great ones. One last thing. Look up Verdun. The french held thier ground there.

France had the best land armies. If the French are pussies, then how come they won against countless coalition wars during those two time periods. France won the Algerian war militarily, but they agreed to give the Algerian people their independance.
the French were at first winning the indochina war until the battle of Dien Bien Phu, it was really a mistake. The French soldiers are tough, they just need better generals.

France fought on a wider front in Western Europe than the British did and lost 1.4 million men in four years. French troops stopped the Germans at Verdun, and again provided the bulk of the force at the 2nd battle of the Marne.

Take Galipoli for example, or the Somme. 60,000 British died in a single day, making it the bloodiest day in British military history. The reason why the French lost far more men was because they covered a wider front.

@commensence1 France is NOT gaul. The Gauls were a celtic people the roman invasion destroyed their heritage. Gauls were a dead civilization by the time Rome fell. French (as the name suggests) are the heirs of Franks who conquered most of north-western europe. The english and french are basicaly the same people, both celts conquered by germanic tribes. History proves that were so similar that we often fought to prove to each other who should rule both territories.

@commensence1 Exactly except the franks are east and celts are north-west (Britanny region). They were the first to occupy french territory and were conquered by Romans who later became Gaulish-Romans (mostly near Marseilles now). The Franks invaded and assimilated the population and became the noble class. Later, the vikings attacked Paris and were convinced to cease hostilities in exchange of Normandy (Normand is the french translation for North-Man).

@commensence1 In fact, you can find many french royal documents insisting that nobles should be from the Frankish race which was (according to them) to have blue eyes and blond hair. The celts and the Gaulish-Romans were always considered peasant class until the French Revolution of 1789. The Franks formed the higher class while the Normans had a special status because most of them were nobles in England as well as France. (I am myself a norman)

The fact the war went on for a hundred years should tell you both the English and French are quite fearsome warriors. English history is so different than Irish history. The English have lost many battles, but then when it came to the show down, the all or nothing or winner takes all battle, they've won. With the Irish it's been the opposite, we've won many battles, but that showdown....we've lost. :-(

just set it to low settings, i find that the things that will make your computer lag the most in m2tw are unit detail, grass detail and bloom effect( i dont have a great system , only a 128 mb video card lol, but i can still run without any lag on low settings), just sacrifice some of the settings that make your game look nice, and youl get a better fps
