@elms91 That small child that easily could have been killed by a 50mph hurtling hard rubber disc didn't know he was throwing, and was missed by a matter of feet.
I'm sure everyone around would have realized how completely idiotic they all were when they were giving CPR to the child with the crushed skull or shattered ocular orbit.
Apparently all of the disc golfers on here know how stupid this was...the people who know nothing about disc golf and the immature, dumbass OP are the only defenders
@Jestersinthemoon nice try using big medical terms, but I don't think you understand the concept of CPR. Way to reply to my comment two months after the fact. Maybe you just don't have control over your own shots so you think that no one else does, that's okay; happy practicing :)
@elms91 You cant blame the people for sitting around the pin. They dont really know the difference between a regular frisbee and a golf disc. There is a huge difference when you are talking about getting hit in the face with one. I think the general public who have never picked up a disc do not realize how dangerous these can be, especially to the face or eye. If they knew how hard and heavy these discs were, women and children would have been fleeing from the pin
first of all MRjosh i like ur style, second everyone whos ever thrown a disc knows just about anything could possibly happen, what if you had let go alittle bit early? like a milli second and you could have changed that childs life forever. also id like to thank you for giving up on trying to defend yourself ;)
I got hit with a teerex under my eye from a short 30 foot throw and i was bleeding. Your throw would have cracked that kid's skull. Your kind of a dumbass for throwing to a tee where 8 people are sitting.
@shaunmason220 Oh yeah because I was in complete control when I was on the other side of the lake... They gave me the go to throw so I did. Nothing in here is my fault.
@shaunmason220 Who the hell sits in front of a disc golf basket anyway. They shouldn't be sitting where its obvious people will be playing disc golf. How about that one "dumbass".
@CrazyGeneral30 You're asking me who sits in front of a disc golf basket? Well, obviously this kid's family does that. Thats why its dangerous what he did. I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just saying its a really dumb thing to do. That would wreck somebody if they got hit in the face.
Yeah, that was totally irresponsible. Maybe your mom didn't know that a disc could easily kill a small child, but you should have. Not to mention, its kinda lame that you're posting videos of you making throws that pretty much any disc golfer could make. Just cuz mommy is impressed ( which isn't saying much considering she's dumb enough to allow a child to wander in the landing area ) doesn't mean anyone else is.
Nice. Make sure you post that video when you kill someone. Any disc, esp the newest ultra high speeds, are dangerous weapons and need to be treated accordingly. Its one thing to be out on a course where the people there know what situation they're putting themselves (and their children) in, its another thing entirely to put children at risk in a situation the other adults clearly know nothing about. Play responsibly for christ's sake.
I have seen a 15 year old take one in the face. He was knocked unconscious and lost his eye when it cracked his orbital bone. It would have killed that toddler.
Agreed. Do NOT make a video that shows how dangerously close that disk was to ANY person ....especially a toddler. You are all lucky you didn't video tape his head being split open. Really really stupid stuff here.
In what way did those people have everything under control? At the last half second were they gonna push the baby out of the way of that rocket. Or was that guy going to do a diving save while yelling Noo!!! in his sandals? I once took my little cousins to play and my 13 year old cousin accidentally hit my 8 yr old cousin and made his nose bleed from about 20 FEET away. What do u think Billy Badass's 400 ft throw will do to a six year old? Star Teerex discs are the hardest and probably the sharp
sorry, and i'm being an ass here, but there is no such thing as the word "acrossed"
you threw the disc across the lake, or the disc crossed the lake. there is no such thing as acrossed. sorry, it's just a major pet peeve of mine. nice throw btw
under control my ass!!! you can the hear panic in her voice when she said "oh my gosh", then she forces out a fake ass cheer. that could've been ugly. Please throw responsibly.
@johnyvare If you really want to get technical, the little kid runs from top of the screen were an adult is clearly standing and was in control of the toddler, so in reality, that adult is the one who lost focus watching the throw instead of taking care of the kid and, her cheers were genuine, she even follows through with further joy, so stop trying ruin this kid's nice throw and go eat some cheerio's cause you need some. :)
@11645SW He is trying to be a douche because she said "acrosst" instead of "across". I say acrosst to. its an accent. Are Tee Rex's pretty good disc's? thinking about getting one.
a small part of me wanted that kid to get nailed. I know, I know, there's a special place in hell for me, but the kids parents are obv idiots, the disc was only a few feet away from hitting the kid, and no one was close enough to shield her. And to say the situation was under control is ludicrous; you imply that you know exactly what the disc is going to do at the tail end of a 400ft shot. Goofballs all around IMO
i like how everyones makin a big deal about the kid by the basket. i'm pretty sure he would have survived unless some freak accident happened wich hit him in his temple or something, but serious, come on. Nothing bad happened get over it and take it for what it was... a damn good throw, props kid.
@krimzonghost1987 Have you ever seen a disc golf disc? Its not a lightweight flimsy plastic frisbee you get at the dollar store. They're made of VERY hard and heavy plastic, often weighing near half a pound. TeeRex has a sharp edge of solid plastic over an inch thick. It could easily crack an adult skull, much less a toddler. Besides, even if it didn't kill her, those dumbasses probably don't want the guilt, or costs, of their child losing an eye, breaking a bone, or getting her face crushed in
jeez can't ppl focus on the fact that this is a great throw instead of riding his ass about a kid near the basket. as he has said multiple times: the situation was under control.
-sharpest disc out there. Then Grandpa gets up to try to figure out what just happened. Real cool throw, but wouldn't it have been smarter to not have people chill right next to the basket. They could have easily have stood behind it. Then dad claps because no one had to go to the hospital. And everything is okay. Also my 8 yr old cousin got hit, because he was standing right next to the basket. After you throw a disc, it's out of your control. Unless the kids were obstacles, play smarter.
And another thing, if this was the first time they saw you throw a disc, obviously she doesn't know that it could break your sisters jaw. So no, johnyvare should not back off. I'm not even going to talk about the alleged speech impediment, cause that someone else. Anyone who plays disc golf seriously knows NOT to throw until everyone has left the hole. That is very basic.
knowing that was most likely a destroyer or force or something like that, maybe that kid shouldnt have been there? i wouldnt be surprised if a head shot killed him/her.
@11645SW your parents did NOT have everything under control, they KNEW you were throwing in the direction of a infant yet they did not protect her one bit. she was atleast 8 feet from any adult, out of reach of protection. wreckless, and nieve to say it was 'under control'
good throw, but it really would have been great if you would have knocked out the little kid....after all, she was about 15 feet away from your intended target, so hitting her would have been just as good as an ace... :-|
11645sw is right i play disc golf too and even though my top is 400 ft it is not hard for a reasonably good disc golfer to throw 500 ft. on the other hand what the hell that kid could of really gotten hurt anyone who throws discs knows that.
I have tried on a football field and 420 is an average throw for me. My longest throw (over a football field) is 470 ft. I'll post a video as soon as I can.
