  • Used to love this -- romanticism sung about in songs from this era remain  in me so deeply engrained. Although the verses were usually highly idealistic, they still spoke to the youthful heart and many years later have never been forgotten.

  • This brings back those good memories @ Hopkins plaza's summerfest(early 70's) in Bmore,Md.,Wasn't a whole lot of beefing going on then so you really got the chance to enjoy the live music!...Can't be touch!....I think God almighty 4 that!

  • We had the opportunity to sing this at the Eastern High School,( Washington, D.C) Senior Day in 1973. Joe Lindsey sang lead with Steve Alston, Anthony Moon and myself on background vocals. Later found out that Moon was related to one of the guys in the Softones and we got to meet them a few times over the last 30 years. Still great music.

  • 1973 Eliot jr high DC singing in the halls. This song sounds good with the echo of my old school.R Bullock and M lyles. They used to sing so good the principle would wait for them to finish before he told them to go to class. Great times to be young.

  • I was at the show at the Carter Baron in DC, though this group is just up the road in B-more first time I caught their act and yes homeboy killed it, Softtones are really good.

  • They perfomed at the Carter Baron last night to a SOLD OUT crowd, they were soooo...good. sounded GREAT! Just like the recordings. They also paid tribute to MJ and the intermission DJ had us on our feet as he played MJ songs . It was a wonderful concert!!

    They sounded heavenly. I remember listening to this group and fell in love with them back in the 70's, I was so excited when I found out that they were going to be performing there for the summer concert series, the concert was SOLD OUT. They also did a wonderful tribute to Michael Jackson.

  • These guys use to rehearse across the street from my house on Linnard St Baltimore Edmonson Village when I was a kid. People would stand around there house when they rehearsed in the basement. You could hear them all over our neighborhood and we loved it !!!
