Well the sound is kind of more "dirty" I think the intention was to make it sound more contemporary. All songs are from Doug Aldrich, the ballads are kind of weak, but the rockers still catch some fire.

some of us prefer the 1977-1984 era, known as the "European era" when it was classical blues rock. Some prefer the time when they were popular in the US 1984-1989 era. And some prefer the eras after that.

I would recommend fool for your loving (two versions exists of that song) and Here I Go Again to begin with (also two versions of the song!), and then love ain't no stranger!

@NA734 it's all good. for my money i like the 'commercial' period (84-89) best, but there are some standout tracks on the earlier albums as well. if you're asking me i'd get a compilation called "the early years" which covers all the best songs from 78-82, as well as the entire 'Slide It In', self titled and 'Slip of the Tongue' albums. But that's just me. The new stuff is good too, kind of a mix of the two eras.
