I loved the symbolism of the song. Blurry. If you got engrossed into the story like I did, it was all (Blurry) your squadron was trying to do what was right, but you were being manipulated because how good your squadron was. You were a hero to your side, a demon to the other side. You tried to end the war for the sake of peace, but you had to be the Demon Razgriz to do it. Fucking, epic game.

You know they have there fight of which is better Halo or Cod. The point is I have never seen another game ever with such an emotionally charged story line as Ace Combat 5 (haven't played 6 so don't judge) For example when they shot down Chopper (when you saw him go down the first time) everyone who played it got pissed and, not just destroyed, but freaking Annihilated the guys who shot him down. After that you were sad, and admit it some of you shed tears for Chopper. When has a game done that?

@DrakeSkyRyder Halo Reach and Modern Warfare 2 both have sad story lines, and Ace Combat: Zero is kind of sad too. GTA: SanAndreas is sad(but there's no sad music in the background, so it doesn't seem like it. MW3 is also sad, and Battlefield 3 is also sad. Ace Combat: Skies of Deception is also a sad game. There are so many emotional games out there and Ace Combat 5 is one of the best, but Metal Gear Solid 2 is the saddest and best game I've ever played. If you have it, you know what I mean.

@DrakeSkyRyder It could have been Razgriz, i don't want to believe it but really think Razgriz is real in fact everytime you play that one mission " Journey Home" keep on having those emotions you'll know what i mean cause i've been through it too. sometimes it will make you remember and other times you didn't know what happened as if you got poscessed by Razgriz itself on that one mission.

I got AC:5 a few years ago, and it's one of the few PS2 games I STILL LOVE TO PLAY!!!!!! I got AC:0 this year, and thought the story was EPIC!!!! Not as epic as AC:5, mind you; but it definitely does a great job as a prequel. AC:0 did a great job at telling a story about a war and what it does to the world; and AC:5 did a great job of telling the story of what happens when the pieces are left unchecked and the few stand against it for the world. IMHO.

@gasdfw5 Ace 6 didn't "fail", it just wasn't as focused on gameplay and story as it was on bringing new technology to the table (ie multiple battles going on at the same time). In regard to the story, it's not too much unlike the plot of AC04: enemy takes over the entire continent and YOU have to stop them. Sure you got a wingman this time around, not that he really does anything. Not to mention the cutscenes are from the pov of the citizens. We'll see what happens with Assault Horizon.

@101jir Haha stalling over the runway doesn't work in real life, the rudder is used for more than low altitude turns, and you don't get 99 missiles unfortunately. I would imagine it turned out that way for him.
