I work in foreclosures and speak to suffering home owners at the brink of losing they're home every single day... I don't hear a rescue for them in this proposed bail out. Sad.
I am so absolutely pissed that congress is even planning this bail out! For once, if you are reading all these comments....be angry enough to call and write, email and blog.... let them know everyway that we are not going to allow anymore tax on 'tea'!.
No amount of funny money can "fix" the problem. The problem is bad debt. The economy cannot recover until the bad debt is liquidated. If Paulson and his successor drag that out, which they will, we are going down the exact same road that Hoover and FDR went down in the 1930's. That dragged out for 16 years, but we got over it. This time, it could be worse.
If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks...will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." Thomas Jefferson
If banksters make mistakes, they should suffer consequences just like anyone would. The American taxpayer should not be the garbage bin of the world. It's theft, pure and simple.
should have used a few members of congress as targets.
