The shit that made people expect a brain-dead flick like F&TF, & not a classic driving film for the ages.

This promo lures ppl who would hate the film & drives away the people who would appreciate it. But I suppose initial box office revenue = more important narrative than the cult following it generates. I bet the Blu-Ray will be intentionally watered-down also, in order to financially take advantage of the die-hard fan when an intentionally-delayed special edition hits the market in 6 months.

This movie is one of a kind and shouldn't be marketed as a Action movie, this was literally beyond action. Very real, and very intense :D Drive one of the best movies I've seen in my life!

This movie is nothing like The Transporter. For one thing it's not an explosion filled martial arts movie. IGN gave it a perfect score, along with rave reviews on many other websites and Oscar buzz for some of the actors. The tv spots are marketing it to look more like a generic action movie, when it's not at all.

Transporter is a movie about a man who delivers "packages" or chauffeurs people. Drive is a movie about a Getaway Driver / Stunt Man's involvement in a heist gone wrong. In terms of style and story, the movies differ like night and day. Transporter movies are "paint by the numbers" glossy action flicks. While Drive is artsy and gritty.

Tanner meets an informant names Mojo who leads him to crime organizers and infiltrates the organization deep. Then the boss finds out he's actually a cop, Tanner has real work cut out for him.

The orignal game was heavy with 70's garb, the GTO's and Mustangs, flying hubcaps and cameras at the wheel well. It was all remincent of Bullitt and Starsky & Hutch.
