Good to see that I'm not the only one who thought this was a job for automation. I did something similar in javascript to play Dueling Banjos (4 urls due to short recording time):

You should consider adding rests or note lengths, as well as chords (notes without a pause).

pretty good. just that a song in a minor key doesn't work so well with a guitar in only major key
