  • wow you play well. I am learning tar as well and I can not quite play the riz. I try hard to get my wrist moving. I know that the wrist motion is somewhat similar to santur, but still it is a bit different.

  • Salam, I have recently been given a tar and I am wondering what is the tuning? also do you know of any way to keep the skin from loosening, I live in tropical Indonesia, so it is very moist. any info you have on the tar will be much appreciated as there are no tar players tht I know of here. thank you...

  • @mustafadaood low c, middle c, g, g, middle c, middle c. I live in the tropics also, so i build a fire and carefully hold my tar over the top to dry out the skin. the heat from the stove works too, but not as well.

  • what is dashti music ?? :S in kuwait we have family names called dashti and were orginally from DASHT, i just knew there is something called dashti tar, intresting :)

  • Genre is Pop, Rap or Classical music ;)

    "Dashti" is a Mode.

  • Thanks so much for sharing you beautiful music.

    It is absolutly ZEEBZA.

  • besiyar ziba bood

  • thank you for posting this. Very different from Shahnaz, but some influence. Shahnaz would play this a lot slower and would repeat and expand each melody over a few minutes, so your playing has more content and is more dense. Jalil is a sweet player.

  • Dear Performer

    --------------

I fell in love with this piece, I am playing Tar for couple of years, I am wondering if you knidly play and record this nice piece

(but very slowly) that me and other students like me can see your fingers and practice, so

we can keep "Iranian Traditional Music" alive

    your Brother : Reza Kheibari

  • Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

  • u dont suck ! really I mean it, keep up the good work

  • Your music is very soothing to the ear and a pleasure to hear. I work up early this morning to get a head advance on the day and checked out your new video before doing anything else. It made my day. Thanks for sharing and keep it up.
