Have to disagree. Kris Allen turned each song he did into his own amazing unique beautiful version. He also radiates that he has a genuine kind heart and soul and people just yearning for that, just like Jason Castro had that enduring quality too. But all in all, Anoop also has got such great talent and class that people fell in love with, not to mention the most amazing and beautiful voice.

I don't get how Kris Allen won American Idol last year. Adam, Anoop and Allison were all better than him. And the Anoop may not have had the best voice of all the contestants but hes got the most soul and emotion in his voice, something i find lacking in Adam (even though he was the best vocally)

No one is talking about how great his voice was, or how good of a singer he was, they are talking about his outfit and his ridiculous dance/show on stage. He actually did not sound good at all yesterday, in my (and people I have talked to) opinion. Anoop may have come out in a normal clothes and not put on a show, but his singing would have been better.

Anoop Desai made it so far in American Idol, and each and every performance of his was sung live and if people didn't like how he sounded live then he would not have made it this far! And I think that all Anoop Desai fans would agree with me that each of his live performances are so amazing and come from his heart and you feel it when he opens his mouth. And as far as the recorded version goes in Anoop's case his live performances doesn't hinder from his true talent.
