Narrow the intro into 10 seconds then you have a intro. The only main issue is that a intro should be no longer than 10 seconds, take my intro for example. It's poorly done but gets the point across nevertheless.
But as for the effects and symbolism, they are fantastic. Just speed it up.

I would have made the intro much shorter, but the specific piece of music I wanted to use for it was too long.
