I haven't seen a single brother in this whole video, why you gotta keep the black man down? If you tossed a couple homies in there they could really get this thing poppin, make this really proper soul music that people could relate to instead of being all hoidy toidy.
If one has seen the movie/know the story, one can identify the music with the tragic tale.. the carefree students days, the bonding, the pain and despair, the tragedy and finally happiness and togetherness in death.
I might be hated for this, but I find this better than Bin Huang's because this tempo is slower and for some reason it doesnt have a "rushing" feeling as the one I feel in Bin Huang's.
This concerto is written in the (Western) classical sonata form, so it has three parts. Bossa did a nice job posting the three as they're meant to be divided. This third part is the recapitulation, with themes from the first part (exposition) but in different form (e.g., orchestration).
Masterful interpretation by the solo violinist. My grandparents knew the composers of this orchestral piece, they were fellow students at the Shanghai conservatory. My grandparents were studying singing there at the time.

huang1019 1 year ago

Lovers' large section of the inner monologue, Siqing Lu's performance is obviously not as good as Bin Huang's.

Is this the beginning scene music? The instrument in the movie is different from this.

Some times I just wanna kill the conductor.... Good work on the solo, bad sluggish, mundane interpretation by the orchestra.

how come the flute is so out of tune??
Thomaschunyuchen 3 years ago
Out of tune in what way?
It is possible that the tuning is a little higher than concert pitch but then the whole orchestra would be that tuning.
