  • I like being able to see the road and shit when I watch these types of videos. It's depressing.. just staring at the dashboard.

  • Kyle I hear I'll be home for Christmas. do you hear it while you drive the sabb?

  • saabs suck.

  • Hey I just got this car (2000 9-3 turbo 2.0L 4DR SE). It's got just under 97k miles. The turbo gauge never seems to go past green. Is there something wrong with it or am I not pressing hard enough?

  • @randow2725 you're not pressing hard enough. same happened here because my parents are light drivers, too.

  • proud saab owner. love mine. 0-60 in 3.88 seconds. stock turbo, no mods :) oh and its automatic. lol imagine what it could do if it were standard.

  • You turned off "Check My Brain" from the new Alice In Chains!

Only musicians would know that in Los Angeles, because Rock is actually dead here. Do you believe that?

The day the music died. Long live SCAABS and SCAARS, HAARP also has two A's and a Billion more watts than CAARS...batteries.

  • this car fucking flies

  • plane plane sound...

  • uhhh its an automatic

  • the 1998-2002 Saab 9-3 Hatchback was assembled in

    Trollhättan, Sweden

  • Gotta admit that cup holder is pretty cool.

  • nice i have the same car but its 2001 and i see no difference except the fact that my car doesn't do the tinker noise when turning lol :)

  • Great video, how can you test a car with the f***king radio on, you think you are so cool the way you flick the steering wheel round, BUT, you are a PENIS

  • I've been in a saab 9-5 and it was very comfy and quiet and wicked solid. Can't get over how solid the frames are on saabs

  • Why do you always turn on the cars with the doors Open ?

  • Comment removed

  • I am looking at a 2001 Saab 9-3 Turbo 2.0L 4 Cylinder ... Is it a good car or not?

  • I drive a 2000 saab 93 coupe with 140k on it. Still runs great. Pretty fun car to drive. I've gotten it up to 140 mph and the car still get 30mpg on the hwy at normal speeds. Why can't GM build a motor that can do this?

One down fall....the cup holders Suck!

  • fuck the person who blow the head

  • a si ti mal prizadet al ja?

  • is it faster than normal cars? or does the turbo not do much

  • @poonmcnugget Turbos make a car go faster than it would normally. It's forced induction, and it's based on engine speed. Most turbos reach peak torque faster than a naturally aspirated car.

  • i miss my saab....a deer ran out in front of me and totaled it

  • Hey man,

How is the saab in regards to maintenance? is it a high maintenance car? I am planning to buy early 2000s model used. Will I be spending a lot on maintenance like a merc or bmw?

  • @tubersanthosh No Sir. It's built tough. I own a 2000 9-3 Std 185hp. Be sure before you buy, check for its service history because this Trionic 7 cars are prone to Oil Sludge. Make sure previous owner changes oil every less than 5k miles. and no you won't spend a lot of maintenance like a merc or bmw (as far as mechanicals are concerned, check on head gaskets, valve seals, oil change intervals, and blue smoke from tailpipe). If these are fine you're such a lucky buyer.

  • Hi there, I live in the Netherlands and I'm planning to go for a 2000 9.3 lpt in black.

This and your other Saab upload give a real good impression of this Swedish youngtimer. I can hardly wait for my first testdrive.

    Seeya, Martin

  • Kyle... did driving this Saab bring back memories of your Saab? Great video 5 stars :)

  • haha i love that saab.

Got a Console Ignition? who thought of that? lol

  • Im debating what to buy as a first car. This (Convertible saab 9-3) or a mazda miata. Both are great cars, its just so hard to pick one.

  • @SomeComAddict The Saab is much more practical and equally as fun as the Miata, as long as you get a turbo 9-3.

  • @SomeComAddict pick with your gut.

  • Oh and actually i just found out from a good source that SAAB will be back in production again by Spyker,Spyker is still interested SAAB will still be around no worry guyz its just that they PAUSED PRODUCTION NOT STOPPED PRODUCTION due to the fact that the foreign and US government has a investigation going on because someone up on the ladder has a criminalistic atitude belive it or not the government was under high suspicion about one of the ceo's or another in a gang a mob.

  • on my saab why does it say on the dash 160 and yours says 150 mph? i know this probably is a dumb question but is it probably because its a SE? or bigger engine

  • Haha I have no clue, I haven't been around saab for a long time to be able to answer that correctly

  • How do you feed driving it?Does it make u feel safe or special?I want to buy one although i haven't drowe one before.

  • @bluewolfsoldier1987 You probably have the 205 HP SE while he's looking at either a '99 or '00 9-3 with only 185 HP.

  • @rollotwomassey thank you!

  • @bluewolfsoldier1987 Yes, thats why! =)

  • @bluewolfsoldier1987 Most likely cus it's made for the US. Swedish Saabs, if you let me say so, only got KM/H. If that's what you ment?

  • @bluewolfsoldier1987 The Saab SE-package got 185 HP or 205HP. 205HP is the Aero engine, which is the biggest one they have in these older saabs. So I believe you have 205 hp and this guy 185, sinse the 150hp doesnt have bar meter.

  • @SwedishDelighter oh thank you iam still learning about the SAAB i know mine was really really fast!

and i miss it RIP to my SAAB 9-3 SE.I want to buy another one if i ever come across one.

  • @bluewolfsoldier1987 No problem, glad to help.

    I just bought a SAAB 9-5 Aero 2002. It's a monster!

I strongly recomend that car! You drive like a king and when you need to run past someone, you'll do it in a sec. 80-160KM/H in about 4-5 sec. Good luck with your SAAB, buddy!:)

  • i wish they wold keep making these gorgeous vehicles

  • turning without a signal, how dare you! :D

    BTW im 17

    drive a 04 saab 93 arc convertable

    37k miles

  • hahaha my bad :P That's awesome man, stylish cars!

  • A 2001 SAAB 9-5 saved my sistes life about two months ago, she were driving to work on a country road when a cat ran up on the road. As a pure reflex she swerved to avoid hitting it and went into a ditch and hit a pipe and were lauched up in the air. A farmer that were behind her in his tractor told the fire department that the car lauched more than 20 feet up in the air and rolled more than seven times. Speed was 55Mph. She stepped out of the car with only a minor wound on her wrist...

  • We were the to see the car and it was junk.

The inside rearview mirror along with the roof were crammed into the dashboard, the right side of the dashboard were ripped out, the glove compartment were missing(they never found it), radio were also gone(never to be seen again), Right front wheel were ripped to pieces, left fron was almost falling off(only attached by the drive shaft), engine was pointing up in a 20-30 degree angle, fusebox ripped in half, cylinder head were split in two...

  • ..., radiator ripped off, and genarally f*cked up in the front and roof. The amazing part is that it still would drive! They started it up a the auto repiar shop, the gearbox went into drive and it was drivable! They drove it for about 40 yards onto a towtruck.

Therefor i must say, THANK YOU SAAB FOR SAVING MY SISTERS LIFE. SAAB FOR LIFE!

Ps, she bought another SAAB 9-5 three weeks ago. She also have a VOLVO V70R.

    Swedish cars rules!

  • Saab's are The best cars ever, its sad that gm is closing the factory :// oh, and Btw i live in the town where they make saabs :D ive been in the factory and took a ride in a New Saab 9-5 :PPP

  • i love saab

  • SAABs have so much character. I've never driven one, but I think I already love them. Haha. But what is the "W" button on the console by the gearshift??

  • wumbo

  • @ Intelpentium54321

Hahahahaha. "I wumbo, you wumbo, he/she/me wumbo..."

  • @ Whoatemycheese

    W stands for Winter.

Push the W button and the gearbox starts in second gear and will change gears at a lower rpm therefor lowering the risk of the tires loosing grip during snow and ice.

  • @ bigbzon

    Ahh... clever. Thanks!

  • @ Whoatemycheese

    You're welcome.

  • i'm getting my 2001 9-3 S tomorrow. it's a stick though so just a little more sporty. they sound great though and they haul ass for a 4 cylinder thanks to the turbo.

  • Kyle, you have to buy that car! Use it as a second car! It's so sweet and you love it :D

  • I really wish I could, I just have a love for these saabs, also the 9-5 which has heated rear seats! We had one of those once, a 2000 model. People don't realize that GM may have owned Saab during this time but they were still made, and designed in Trollhattan, Sweden =D when GM kills saab these cars will become more desirable (to me at least haha)

  • why don't ya buy it then ? thats probably the best cared for Saab there is!!

  • I don't need another car haha, all the money I make has to go towards living expenses at school :P I'll save the lavish spending for when I graduate LOL jk

  • Haha. And for FlakeDodge7's comment. Wtf ? Those Saab's aren't Smarts thats for sure but their not Ferrari's either! I wouldn't say the fuel economy of them was so bad it required "VERY VERY BAD" would you ?

  • wait... maybe he didn't mean economy, lol. Thats what ya get for readin things quick and not payin attention!!

  • Idk haha, I guess he meant build quality or something?!?! People have to realize that it's a love it or hate it thing, people who own Saabs buy them because they love them, you have to drive it to actually have a valid argument towards it or against it!

  • Well I had the pleasure of driving a 1999 Saab 9-3 a few months ago and they drive great! as I said before its just the ignition barrel being on the center console that makes me not wanna buy one. Saab's are like Marmite! ya either hate it or love it! theres no inbetween!

  • I actually like it in a way, it's pretty unique, but it is a lot harder to work on versus being on the column :/ Haha you got that right!

  • yeah but over here in the UK we drive on the right hand side making it harder to use. Especially if your right handed which I am.

  • The ergonomy of this Saab is VERY VERY BAD. But still a nice car.

  • What's that supposed to mean?

  • Amazing sounding for the amount of miles on it considering it's a turbo boosted car. The person that drove it must of kept it inside and out of the weather because the interior looks new. The one thing that bugs me with saabs designs are the fact they feel like an Audi. Every time I look at one I think Phil Colins from back in the 80's because it's something I picture in my mind he would drive in his music videos. Also jack Nicholson. Bald man's car!

  • I always found it weird how the ignition was in the center console area lol

  • Yeah. Thats the only reason I refuse to buy a Saab. I like the ignition in the right place on the right hand side of the steering colum, not on the center console :(

  • Wow that turn signal is loud

  • nice - I've had a couple of the old 80's 900 Turbo 16 valves - some don't consider the 9-3 a 'real' saab but I like 'em...

  • quiet little thing. too bad gm's killing saab

  • Very nice SAABKyle04!

I don't know if it's possible, I'm sure it is, but you should buy this car for yourself, especially where it's in such great shape and what not!

I would if I were you.

  • Great video as always! That chirp is awesome sounding and the cloth heated seats must be awesome..my sister's VW had heated seats but they were leather.

  • wow that thing pulls. I have always liked saabs :) Sweet vid kyle

  • is this car at your dealer???

  • Yes it is, we got it last week

  • It's just a car from GM. The new GM Saabs are nothing like the old ones. Especially in reliability and quality. But finally a long good test drive video! :) 5/5

  • Yeah I hate the new ones hahaha, these generation of saabs are before GM ever really changed them too much, I believe it was 2003 or 2004 when they drastically changed the body style. I know this because back in the say, Saab was paired with the trucking line (Scania), both swedish (look it up, they have some cool products out!) then after the major changes the partnership was dissolved I believe. GM also redesigned the body in 94 to be more rounded than the really old ones

  • The body style is which I like the most. I would buy one of these with this engine (beautiful sound and powerful engine) with heated seats and automatic transmission if they were reliable.

"Btw, thanks for the rate! =)"

    Thanks for the video! :)

  • Btw, thanks for the rate! =)

  • I have never really seen Saab's around here. They look very nice and I like them.

  • Do you go by yourself or with your father?

  • by the way, Saabs are awesome!

  • wow it's christmas eve on December 29th??? Wow you guys up there are late!

  • Noooooo, I said in my description that I'm really behind on videos! LOL

  • i dont like the keys there, kids or an angry girlfriend can take them out

  • lol, i agree

  • Does the interior smell like crayons? lol most used Saabs and VWs do

  • Good vid Kyle :) you no this is the first car i learned to drive and learned stick on...

    5*'s all the way man...

  • Similar chime as a Volkswagen!

  • Too bad the previous owners were cheapskates and went with cloth. You gotta have a Saab with leather! Great winter car!

  • @1bentley4ever Ahaha. I know you like leather, I prefer cloth. But I agree that Saabs make great winter cars, especially where they're from!

  • I wouldn't complain if that Saab had velor seats, though, then it would be just like sitting down by the fire. I guess to each their own on interiors though. But when you get a Saab, you might as well go for leather. It increases the value, and gives the car a more stylish and Scandinavian look. I know this about Swedish cars because my family has owned Swede cars. But I do like the type of cloth on the Volvo 240GL your family has though. Corduroy is very nice. That Saab's cloth looks cheap.

  • It's My Car! I love every single quirkiness that a Saab has to offer and mine is a 5-speed so it's absolute pleasure to drive. People Who Loves SAAB are usually people who have owned them... nice color !

  • how much for it??? really really nice car just from this video, cant wait to see the whole tour, keep up the great vids

  • its so cool that the ignition is down there...I LOVE IT! p.s your first saab looks so cool! chick magnet?

  • When did you get this?

  • Last week

  • I'd take one of these older saabs over anything you listed! back before they were all GMinized

  • this car is GMinized try the older 900

  • well technically yes, back in 94 when they changed the body to a more rounded design, but these still retained saab styling for the most part, now, when I look at one I think it screams gm, with the gm radio, instrumentation and what not, I think it's awful in my opinion! I love these older ones. The worst newer one is the 9-7x SUV, which is a carbon copy of a GMC envoy with some fancy vents, center ignition, and altered front end.

  • Nice vid, as always. I still think you should do a vid on an 06+ pt cruiser :D

  • Hahaha thanks man, I don't see too many of those actually! we finally got rid of ours several weeks ago, I doubt we'll get another one after how long that one was there haha :P

  • @saabkyle04 yeah, they're really a POS in my mind but something about the new-er ones just drive me wild. It'd be cool if you found one, though

  • The drive videos are A+ always.

  • Thanks a lot!
