Great stuff, but you've got to remember that a big part of BCT's problem was its location away from downtown and in the middle of nowhere. NYC had a policy of doing that (look at Detroit and Toledo) to save money on land and the result was often pretty disappointing. So, while it's a great building and deserves all the help it can get, it has a terrific economic handicap even today because of its builders.
@flare40x neither Buffalo Union Terminal or the Michigan Central Station in Detroit can hardly be considered to be out in the "middle of nowhere". Both terminals were well located to move commuters into and out of their respective metropolitan and downtown cores. The blame for the abandonment and loss of these once vital transportation hubs lies elsewhere...shame of it all!
