I have the 'Love Child' album by Diana Ross & The Supremes and always thought this was an exceptional and haunting song. Your work on it is fantastic!
@AutopsyReport22 He did have some formal training in high school, but also hustled on the Detroit-jazz scene as a youngster building his reputation as a solid upright bassist. He almost went the university route before deciding to go on the road with various bands leading up to his prestigious tenure with Motown and his eventual switch to electric bass guitar. Great man and great musician, though troubled, I wish he were still around.
@AutopsyReport22 it's a shame. It's like they could have quit and walked out on him. It seems like Berry's a good guy in a lot of ways, but I guess he had that sense of ownership get to his head a lot.
Stellar!

Outstanding job. I don't know why people fail to realize how intricate those old Motown bass lines are. Well done

Also, just out of interest, which Jamerson bassline have you found the most challenging to learn?

@NGNBoone did Jamerson ever say how he got to play so well? did he ever have formal training?
