My 3.5 is better built and engineered than the VQ35. 6 bolt mains (cross bolted for extra strength), forged crank, forged connecting rods. It also has a structural beam which connects all those main bearing caps for better rigidity. It also separates the crank from the oil pan.

The VQ35DE only has 4 bolt mains, and it does not have that structural beam which connects them and reinforces the crank even more.

I've done my research....how about you go do yours.

nissan uses the 3.5 in almost all its cars from the maxima to the 350z even the g35 and they make about 300 horspower out of them...the 2010 maxima 3.5 has 290 horsepower the 2010 300c 3.5 has 250 horsepower and these engines have been on the wards 10 best engines list for a number of years and have been really realible and the chrysler 3.5 hasnt made it on there once....so your the one that needs to do the reasearch bud!!

Also maybe you should know that Chrysler's 3.5 v6 was the most powerful naturally aspirated V6 engine in the world when released in 1998 for the 1999 300m & LHS. At that time Nissan didn't even break the 200hp mark.

The aluminum version of Chrysler's v6 for '98 includes 6 bolt mains, structural beam connecting the connecting rods, forged crank/connecting rods....list goes on.

For comparisons sake, the VQ35DE only has 4 bolt mains. It took another redesign, the VQ35HR for Nissan to incorporate the "girdle" into their engine design, connecting the main bearings for greater rigidity.

Chrysler did in the 90's what Nissan brags about doing in 2005+. Ridiculous.

No. The fact that Chrysler was able to get 300hp out of the engine without raising the revs substantially shows the potential of the engine itself. Nissan might make similar power, but I'd rather have an engine that makes power at a lower RPM. (Take a look at the torque #'s of the Chrysler engine - the engineers clearly put the power where it's needed most.)

u need to work on ur clutch engagements if thats the case, stock clutches in these cars tend to last way past 200k, mine currently has 228k on a factory original clutch and thats with a few people learning how to drive an MT on it.
