@cookieandmidnight It was getting too expensive to keep running. And Arrow Dynamics stopped making track replacement peices for these types of coasters. Sadly, a company over in China started to shortly after the death of BBW, if only it stayed up a little longer... :(
@HarvestmanMan I can assure you, having recently completed a project on suspended swinging coasters, BBW did NOT use any track from The Bat. Nothing from The Bat, track, cars, or otherwise, was reused for any other rides. The only exception is the station, which is a common practice for many rides to reuse a station structure from one ride to another. So was anything from The Bat used on BBW? Absolutely not.
Like so many other comments on this video, that was a great video. I've only been on three other suspended coasters like this one and this was the best I'd ever ridden. The others were Ninja at SFMM, Draggin Iron (Opps, I mean Iron Dragon) at CP, and Top Gun now called Flight Deck at KI.
I got very lucky on the last day of operation...first row of the first train of the day. It was fun but sad, knowing that it was the last time I would ever ride it. I miss it. It's gone now...the tracks have been removed and there's nothing but pilings where the supports were. I was disappointed to see it go.
great video! thank you so much for creating and posting it! it's such a shame busch killed "the wolf". this was by far my all time favorite roller coaster. it wasn't the fastest, tallest, most inverted, or most anything...just a simple suspended coaster that really knew how to exploit its swinging element. i hope busch doesn't "try" to replace it with some mega looping crap coaster. can anyone say "the wolf's revenge" to a 200' new suspended one? write busch if u like that idea, please.
:{ this fucking ride mo0wed this ride was a fucking beast and better then the fucking loch ness moster and can someone tell me why they tor this ride down
Amazing Tribute to a great coaster. What's sad, is if they had waited one more year they would have had another parts supplier. A new Chinese firm is making Arrow clones.
Its A shame but it all has to happen for a reason, i remember remeber when i was little the old timers cars use to be my fav thing and now they replaced it with somthing better, but this coaster can not
Nice open/close w/ empty train, depart/return to station, blk & wht... it nails lid on coffin of reality that the BBW is no longer with us. The b&w also sets up for the vivid color memories of all the other great action shots of the ride's highlights... including the last car, on-ride shot of the swinging final drop! You presented the video content well, it's obvious you took some time to get to know this coaster and show off the "Wolf's" wild and memorable history. Thanks for posting!
i miss this s much :((

I heard that the BBW (lol) uses track from the Bat, a coaster that was removed from Kings Island in 1983. Can anyone verify this?

Arrow's Best Coaster. Its replacement better be epic, or its retirement will be Busch Garden's worse mistake in the history of the park chain.
