but really, the best way to stop cyber bullying is to not react to shittalk. Freedom of speech only allows actually useful (in whatever way, including getting people ticked off) information to persist anyway. Stuff that are ignored will just disappear eventually for lack of effect. So you know what? toughen up and don't react so strongly to shit

I agree. Everyone does stupid things sometimes. But there is no such thing as a stupid or idiotic person. Calling someone names usually do not have a logical basis. So if we ignore them there is nothing keeping those statements up. Ever since I was a kid I've been ignoring bullies and they've stopped bullying me since its no fun anymore.

You CANNOT let this issue come down to blocking free speech. I would fight for someone else's right to make fun of me if it came down to it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and that includes their opinion on what they think of you. If we let this kind of mentality bleed into government they will GLADLY create and enforce laws that prohibit anyone saying anything mean to anyone else at any given time. weird, people should try to stand up themselves more instead of being drawn into it like so many kids these days are. I remember I was about 6 or 7 when I got bullied and then I stood up to the guy who was older than me and we fought and I still got my ass beat but I let him know I wouldn't be pushed (literally) around anymore. Never had a problem since.
