why does everyone feel the need to hate on the new Def Leppard? if you were a true fan you'd like ALL their stuff and would stick with them no matter what...you say their new stuff sucks because it doesn't have that "classic" Def Leppard sound...but the truth is they really don't have a classic sound...all of their albums is unique and has a different sound than the rest...the only 2 albums that are even comparable are Hysteria and Adrenalize...and even then Adrenalize is a bit different
@pinfish you dont like Hysteria? WTF MAN! that is a great album and High N Dry is my favorite album! One of the greatest albums of the 80s i think Hysteria and Adrenalize were the last good ones.... the rest is SHIT!
omg i cant find the song im looking for, its like "i keep on runnin, got me runnin," thne somthing like up and won got me running around.. any help ? :D
@xiKoNz You're probably looking for the old blues song by the same name.....You Got me Runnin'.....Jimmy Reed did it first, but Tina Turner has a great cover, as do lots of other folks. Download it on Amazon MP3.
@TheLordstim Just go to vidtomp3.com and use the URLs for the videos. That way it's free. You can get the audio of any youtube video with VidtoMP3.com. Then drag it into iTunes. Simple.
@psych380 You're not alone. I'm a HUGE GIGANTIC HYSTERICAL PYROMANIAC FREAK about Def Leppard!!!! Don't forget that I'm 12 years old and classic rock is my passion in life!!!
@DefLeppard771 Great job man!! Same happened to me :'-) I've been deeply in love with them since early, maybe a little earlier than you but it was really love at first sight...now I'm 21 and still so proud to be a Leps fan!!! These guys are pure magic...
@DefLeppard771 Hey kid, you have taste! I was around and jammin' when this album came out. It was an awesome time to be young...music was so good back then, and it's nice to see young people like you who appreciate the good stuff.
@mauimom67 I saw Def Leppard twice...the High & Dry Tour and Pyromania Tour. I was in high school when I went to Pyromania and I took my little brother who was only in middle school at the time. It was his first concert and it changed his life! LOL. It was an awesome memory for us both.
@mauimom67 Isn't that the truth.......Buy the way, I'm not 12 anymore.....I just turned 13........time to change the music generation forever!! My choir had the choice between The Beatles, Katy Perry, Coldplay, or rascal flatts. I was the only one out of about 30 kids who chose The Beatles.....everyone else chose Retarded rascal flatts..........I'm not going to our choir concert......I don't give a crap if I go from an A+ to a C...........I'm not singin that crap!!! Def Leppard is 1000x better!!
@grantski2003 heck, i'm all def leppard! each album has a different love..........i'm a 13 year old and i'm going to see them this summer.........CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!! XD
@DefLeppard771 hey look im really sorry for putting u should kill yourself that was just a joke my friend said to do it as a joke but i just get a bit annoyed when people state their age
@Rorschachxx1985 Maybe thier adults that want you to think that the new generation still likes def leppard... i see alot of age listings on def leppard comments. oh yeah im 16 lol, legit
@tommy81296 - keep on listening to the OTTN album and you'll find that there are even better songs than those three. It's raw and not as polished as their next couple, but it's good stuff...
@psych380 Nothin to be ashamed of kid...this was the sh** back in the day. I am 45 yrs old and this is what we were jamming to in 82 and 83... beats the hell out of this crap that comes out now for the most part... carry the torch my man.
You guys are ALL a buncha know-it-all whiney fuckin' Edward fans. This is one of the finest albums ever made for the genre, and CERTAINLY their best effort. It rocks as hard now as it did when I bought it in 1982. Now before some douche replies "but it came out in 1981", I know, I had to scrape and save to buy albums. Now STFU and listen!!
my opinion is when willis and clark the original guitar player left so did the intire band went pop, not metal anymore. they made a great mistake after 1982 its the truth.
It really pisses me off hearing "People didnt want to hear this any more" Cough Cough Comments Below. When music changed. IT DIED. IT SHOULD OF NEVER CHANGED!!! THIS NEW STUFF IS BULL SHIT!!!
this is the best leppard of all, every song on this album rocks, and pete willis was a major influence, he wrote most there songs, even half of pyromania is pete, after pyromania they went downhill, never the same
@vanhalen515084 Are you Kidding Hysteria is a great album, Adrenalize And Retroactive were also great albums. Slang was good and so was Euphoria. X is great so is Yeah! and Songs From The Sparkle Lounge. They haven't had one bad album since On Through The Night. You have to understand When Steve died so did that part of Leppard died also. With every death comes rebirth and it was there new sound. Plus the music industry was changing and no one wanted to here this stuff anymore leppardrocks
@guitarman829 Exactly! The changes in the band's sound was only a reflection of their evolving artistry, and the musical demands of the time period. I guess it could also be argued that corporate control and selling out came into the picture after Pyro, but I still think the music was great, and don't really buy that excuse. If somebody doesn't like Hysteria, or anything after, that's fine, it's their opinion, but to write it off as being "downhill" is just plain ignorant. Well said, man.
@stellastarr69 Nah, you have your own opinion, that's fine, and I do agree that Hysteria and onwards was a lot more pop friendly and soft. Still, it wasn't bad music, I just don't really listen to it, and I much prefer this album.
@stellastarr69 it really does. Hysteria wasnt terrable. But they DEFFINATLY could have done better. They should of deffinatly kept to there Pyromania/High N' Dry sound.
@PlaTiNuMxFuZioN Phi Collen was on VH1 Classic's That Metal Show recently and said they are going back to that sound on their next album. I'll have to hear it to believe it.
@MetalMaskMilitia Totally disagree. Sure there were pressures, but it's about knowing the direction you are going in and sticking to it. NO one said it was easy, but if you can't see a simplification or a streamline direction in their music after this album then you are the ignorant one.
9-12 year olds: We're happy you know what music is. But get off the internet because it's too dirty for kids your age.

I wasn't a gigantic fan of the first album, I must admit, this is my perfect kind of sound. The heavy/soft sort of rock. Must buy this album though.
