My great grandfather was in northwestern greece fighting against the Germans.His name was ilija but he runed away when the germans defeated the greeks and take Thessalonica but steel i am proud of my great grandfather.

Very moving video...made me cry...yet also made me proud of our Greek heritage. My father was in the Greek Navy and has told me the stories of how their group had to locate and detonate the mines planted by the Germans in the Mediterranean to allow safe passageway for the Allies.
