  • I saw Fabiana in Trovatore at the Washington Summer Opera a few years ago and she actually made the role BELIEVABLE. And her Desdemona with the same company was perfection. I think she must be close to the ideal Tosca.

  • I think she characterises Tosca very well... Tosca, in my limited understanding, is supposed to be a very dominant, proud, fiery woman. Not a femme fatale really? I mean, she kills from neccesity and desperation, not in cold blood.

The remarks about her weight are unfair. It is like saying that you can't be sexy and beautiful unless you are thin. She clearly looks very good, 'overweight' or not so why not just take it for what it is.

  • A far FAR better Tosca than the mess the Met aired a few weeks ago!!! Fabiana & Frank should be regulars at the Met for the Italian spinto retertory!

  • what a name! oh well.

4:08 she had no good reason to do that, the voice didn't carry. Parlando still has to be "sung" a little, needs some ring.

6:26 see what they're doing with their arms? stupid sopranos will really PUSH at the baritone much too hard, thus preventing him from singing well. Might as well trip them or kick them in the shin.

  • She has everything but physical believability in this glamorous role. The staging is exciting and her costume cleverly conceals some of her girth. But a femme fatale she isn't.

  • Wonderfully intense soprano but she'd do well to start watching her carb intake. Think Alessandra Marc.

  • Thanks for posting this. I saw her sing this role with the Summer Opera in DC a number of years ago. She and the Scarpia (whose name I don't recall) were both totally committed and amazing. It was one of the best performances of the opera I've seen.

  • We had her at Palm Beach Opera a few seasons ago-I think in Boheme, I don't recall, but she is a very lovely lady and has a wonderful voice. Brava!

  • Ffabiana.. I saw u croosing the old door, your first day in the big apple, your first audition... and there we met, and I had the privilege of working and travel with u on your first musical job.. u, who told me how hard was to sell hairsparys in the square in winter to have money for your staying in BA... I see u now, 17 years have passed, and joy is what I feel. Brava Bravo, just as we cheered on the tour!

  • Good voice but comes off a little matronly and barky.

  • Sorry, I don't like this video!

  • I saw her in Tosca a few months ago and I also think sge´s really great.

  • This is an incredible performance. Miss Bravo looks great and she sounds amazing!!!!! The world is lucky to have a voice like her.... bradoperama Ms. Bravo is also an incredible actress you should see her live!! in the meantime, opera is about great singing and great voices...If you want to see academy award acting go the theater department or go see a movie!!

  • Tosca's mom?....?!?!... well I don't think so hahaha!

She is spectacular, so committed and sincere with her art.

Sometime people are so repressed that can not take an exuberant personality with out feeling threat... just my opinion.

  • nice voices. Too bad their acting is not great and she looks and acts like she could be Tosca's mom. Vocally they are all nice.

  • She is the best.Last night she was singing Tosca with the Macedonian Opera. I don't have words to explain how wonderful she was.

  • Bravo, Fabiana!!

  • What an axcellent combination of voices. I love Lebron. Is there anywhere else I can see him in?

    Mas, por favor!

  • Wow! Those are two singers-actors on stage, bravi! Me siento orgulloso de ser boricua!

  • y yo... de ser mendocina, como ella!

  • She is soooo amazing! Beautiful!

  • what's the tenor´s name?

  • So when she was Tosca in the Toledo Opera my best friend met her in it and Aubry cannot stop talking about how much she loves her! She is amazing!

  • I saw Lebron in a Nashville Traviata in 2002 and thought he was marked for stardom. I was in the chorus when Frank Porretta sang his first Otello here in Nashville. I wish there were more of him on YouTube.

  • *****It's a big joy to hear such fantastic, beautiful soprano as Fabiana. BRAVA - BRAVO!!!

  • Yeah, I just saw the tenor in Tosca last night in Seattle. He's only impressive when he gets above an A, otherwise he's got very little "squillo" - not enough high partial ring in the rest of his voice.

  • fabiana tu voz es la de un angel , realmente eres una diva , no hay otra igual !!!
