hi, I have a Kenmore SR 1087 363.58042894 side by side door refrigerator. I want to use it without the icemaker installed. So far I've removed the icemaker assembly. The power connector that was connected to the icemaker assembly is exposed. If I powered the unit back on what is the risk of shorting the refrigerator because theres no protective covering? Is there anything else I need to plug up? Thanks in advance. JP
hi, could you help? I reversed the refrigerator door as instructed but the weatherstripping has been crushed with the original format. How do I expand the crushed side?
It does NOT have an indicator in it that knows the ice has expanded nor does the ice maker cycle on a time basis.
There is a thermostat located in the black head of the ice maker that senses the mold temperature. When the thermostat reaches its set point, its contacts close & start the motor. The RAKE (fingers) pushes against the ice while a heater under the mold warms & releases the ice as the Rake pushes the ice out. At the end of the cycle a switch closes to allow water to refill the mold.
