One of the finest airlines I have ever experienced. I had the bed suite and it was a wonderful feeling thousands of feet up in the air lying on a proper 6"4 bed. The services was wonderful, the food was as it was in this video and the Italianate interior were comfy.

I wonder out of interest how full are the first class suites are and how many business class passengers get upgraded up then normal class passengers get upgraded up to business class I wonder as with the high taxes around the world and because of businesses in general tightening their belts too and because they fly less around the world with less money too go around to fly colleagues. So how does it work? Does the ticket give you only one of the cubicles seen at 0:50, or does it give you free reign over an assortment of cubicles (ie a lounge chair room AND a bed room)?

@sharpe4295 it doesnt matter where you choose your seat, you will get the same suite.........The only difference is that the middle suites will combine into one big suite and will entitle you with a full queen size bed.

I flew Singapore Airlines (SIA) from London to Sydney and Japan Airlines too (JAL) also. SIA are the dogs bollocks when it comes to customer service. No one can even touch them. JAL on the other hand are shit and I wouldn't fly with them again. I want to love the A380 but I do regret that it lacks the wow factor for me, excluding its awesome size of course.  Boeing's planes just look sexier i think. That said, I always feel better coming off an airbus than I do boeing. I don't know why

Wow. Those suites are amazing! Compared to the Emirates ones (which I hate!) they are so much more classy. Emirates problem is that their suites are too glitzy and gold. I hate that. The best suite of all is Etihad's Diamond Class suite. It's amazing, like heaven! =)

I am still a fan of Boeing and the 747 -400 is still an amazing piece of technology...i think the A380 is a stupid idea...but clean and qiuet engines are the way to go...I cant wait for the 747-800 to come out, AMERICAN INNOVATION! The 747-8 has no major customers except Lufthansa and some leasing group. With todays economic recession airlines will buy the a380 as it is a more logical economically move. The 747-8 will only be good as a cargo plane. I dont think SQ,EK,BA,VS,CX etc will place any order for the 747-8 as a pax plane, more of so of a Cargo plane.

Qantas and Singapore Both have similar Layouts, only Emirates is different. cheapest way to fly in one of those: be a pilot for singapore airlines and deadhead on one of those flights where there's room and snag a suite for urself, or even better, snag a bed in the crew rest area, which are usually pretty comfortable themselves. no flight attendants nagging u there. at least in the US, first class (on 3 class planes) is usually filled with airline employees rather than paying customers.

SQ is very strict about having employees sit in the suites. Crew who usually deadhead on SIA usually sit in Biz or Economy. rarely first class let alone the suites

British Airways will begin A380 operations between NY-London Heathrow in 2012/13. I can only guess as to the price, but it will most likely be around US$875 Economy round-trip.

Well New york-london is in the works has SIA has the rights but slots are hard to come by so we'll have to wait. However, the A380 is expected to come to SFO by this summer and LAX possibly a bit later. LHR-SIN roundtrip in suites is about 14500 USD.
