The band is tight, they seem to have a better feel than the current configuration of Chicago. Although Vocally this song seems a stretch perhaps if it was down an octave. He has a great voice. This could of been at the end of a set.
With the exception of the bass player, this Chicago tribute band has three guys with some serious ties to Chicago's history, and Kenny is a REAL Cetera who brings that sound back to the songs,. Chris has always been one of the best post-Kath guitarists Chicago ever had, and Marty goes way back the beginning with Chicago. Heck, Robert Lamm is the only constant touring member of the "real Chicago" who was actually on the early records! Promoted wrong, perhaps, but pretty cool, none the less.
The billing may have been hyped up--but these are all great musicians, 3 of whom played with Chicago---so not quite your average tribute band. From all of the videos I have seen so far, I think they put on a fantastic show--and I'd rather listen to Kenny Cetera sing over Jason Scheff any day of the week!
@Porthosec got that right! Go to facebook .i put up a rehersal here in chicago. My buddy has a terry kath tele copy.He is the best. We had a terry kath tribute concert
in chicago with kenny, danny s and jim gurcio..great bunch of guys..
Bogus billing...in Manila they ought to know this is a group of people brought together to make the promoter a bunch of money, while the real Chicago is busy touring the US. They should apologize for the billing and call themselves a Chicago Tribute Band.
I agree. This is not the original Chicago Transit Authority specifically with the absence of its distinct original horn section; Jimmy Pankow, Lee Loughnane and Walt Parazaider and of course Robert Lamm. I am from Manila and was so disappointed with how it was billed and promoted as a "reunion" concert.
Well pikes, I don't like paying full pop to hear the 'real' Chicago these days: you won't see Peter Cetera, Terry Kath, Danny Seraphine and for that matter most of the original horn section at a so called "REAL" Chicago concert these days either. So, who's calling the kettle black? And for my money, Chris play this stuff better than anyone other than Terry. I like their energy. And I think Kenny sounds damn good on his brother's tunes. Thanks for posting, jelo.
Not bad, but this is NOT the band Chicago or can anybody see Robert Lamm, Jimmy Pankow, Lee Loughnane, Walt Parazaider, Bill Champlin, Tris Imboden, Jason Scheff and Keith Howland?!?
this is not the gruop chicago!
