hi! just wanted to suggest ordering your shea butter from nasabb. i purchased my unrefined 1lb of shea butter for a little over $10.00! and its a GREAT product!
just two weeks ago, i started using luster's s-curl activator/moisturizer. i love it. i consider it one of my "one stop shop" products when i don't feel like mixing other stuff. i love it for my twists and twist-outs. it makes my hair more soft and manageable.
i don't care for carols daughter either. she changed her formula somehow and it is not the same.the healthy hair butter is now tooo damn greasy and it use to be my fav. the only things i like from her now is the khoret amen hair oil and her body products.
i use jojoba oil as well and love it..u can try cheaper NOWFOODS shea butter-100%pure from iherb.use discount code for 5$off :)i want to try rosemary oil for growth hope will work :o)hope help it
i can vouch for rosemary oil on growth....my hair grows super fast anyway but i started adding rosemary oil to my shampoos, conditioners and leave-in i saw so much growth so quickly. to make my leave-in i use 6oz aloe vera juice, 1 oz veg glycerin and about 5 drops rosemary.
will the only thing I could advise you is to use natural homemade shampoo..I personaly use it..
ingredients: 1 egg, 2 tbs honey, 1 ts baking soda(not full), add 1tbs any oil you like, add any herb you like( after leaving it in 1/2 cup boiled water to cool down).
Qhemet Biologics is the TRUTH!! I love the Alma and Olive Heavy Creme as a moisturizer and the HoneyBush Tea soft hold gel for twists. Try the sample pack for about $20 to see if you like it. Good Luck
Lovin the music mama!!! Nothing like Floetry, Musiq & Erika!
Try Carols Daughter products...they are fab! I use them for my dreads and let me say this....you are using way too much product mama....break that list down to a few. Remember you dont want to way your hair down with too much...it clogs your pores.
oh I had three of Carol's Daughter's products.. didnt like em b/c they were too greasy.. and I don't use all the products at one time.. actually just mostly shea butter and the gel for twist and oil on scalp in between... just giving peeps ideas of what I HAVE used.. time to try something new ya know?.. BTW thanks cause I know what you mean about weighing the hair down.. PS I get lazy with my head.. so I touch it maybe every two weeks outside of the daily glycerin sprits.. thanks Brook..
Oh ok lol! I was like dammmmmm thats alot of product at one time. Believe me, I know alot of people that use soooo many products at one time, I dont know how their hair ever grows!!!!!!!!lol As far as Carol's Daughter, I have heard a couple of people say that her some of her products are greasy etc. You know how that goes what works for me may not work for you. But you have to do trial & error mama. Thats how I did it. Regardless you have beautiful hair. :0)
hi....i just rec'd CD black vanilla leave in conditioner. i heard 4 the smell alone other nappies keep in thier regime. how do u use it? on your scalp or hair everyday? do u mix it w/your glycerin mixture?
hey.. yes I love it for the smell too.. plus it keeps my hair soft.. and I spray it in after washing every so often, OR MAYBE once a week right b4 I spray the glycerin. Glycerin I use almost daily.. Some people say they use 1/3 to 1/2 glycerin to 3/4 to 1/2 water.. you just have to figure out which works best for you.. I use 1/3 glycerin in the winter and 1/2for the summer because it's dry in TX.. works wonders for me..
We use a lot of the same products..especially in the hot oil treatment. The only difference is that I add coconut oil. I don't know why, but the Green IC fantasia gel did not work well in my hair..it made my hair really crunchy.
yeah.. I've heard a lot of people say that they don't like the green gel.. it doesn't make my hair feel crunchy though.. just soft.. hum.. Wonder huh?.. Oh and thanks.. you reminded me.. I need to pick up some coconut oil too ;-)
I would suggest Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Butter Creme (for twists) and Amla Olive Heavy Cream is wonderful and can replace the CD Hair Butter. Shea Moisture Shea Butter leave in conditioner is a good moisturizer. They all do wonders for my hair and locks in moisture really well :-)
Have you ever tried the Elucence Moisture Balance Shampoo and Conditioner? I love that line and I'm also really feeling the Cibu line of Professional hair care they have chock-ful-of great ingredients. Currently I'm using the the deep conditioner and shampoo and conditioner as well as their shine solution.
