Just a question.. do you guys ever use melee in this game? excluding melee suits of course. It is very hard to land one and almost useless.. Even if the enemy is literally in front of you he could easily dodge it and melee tracking should have worked but no, it misses frequently, heck even using freedom utilizing its seed it's hard to use melee..
The game becomes more of a shoot to kill in order to win. Personally I like the melee more on RvZ II w/o the step cancel.
Just to tell you one thing, Wing Zero's melee sucks, so people usually uses its cannon of win. To answer your question, yes, melee is very important, because that's where most of the damage comes from. If you keep missing, it's kind of your problem.

lol, but I just find practising with the bots are pretty useless when it comes to fighting with real players. one, bots are more stupid, second, they don't know how to use cheap ass tactics like a real player can. well just my opinion, btw do you have a PS3? you can use your PS3 like Xlink Kai now.
you said it. Even an average human player knows how to step often to avoid attacks. The AI just run/stand still and wait for your mistake then attack. The best they could do is to provoke you from helping your stupid AI partner(fodder)lol! But its okay if you are learning each MS and its delays on attacks. Wish I could try this with other players. Too bad my other friends still don't have this game.
Oh, BTW my ps3 = yellow light, no warranty left.. still planning to get a new one though.
Yeah, I guess you can still learn the suit's attack pattern and attacks, lol. You can try some fights with people online if you get a PS3, much more convenient than Kai, mine disconnects evry so often lol

lol, it's not too hard to land melee hits if you try making your enemies get openings. sorry if i sounded too offensive =)

Becose ZOE gameplay is closer to the anime fights then this game. Meaning they could make it more like it (controls I mean,or as armored core)
Just look at the gameplay its so slow and undeveloped they could do a much better job
