@MyHeadAsplodes Very little do you know of Hideo Kojima, he's more into the game than money itself. This has been proven many times over when he wanted to quit working on MGS games for awhile even after the sucess of MGS1 and 2.
Also let's not forget Snake went through that radiation hallway to get to the Patriots core AI, Kojima made it very clear Snake would not be returning in the future, even through the magics of "MGS science" he's been put to rest by the creator himself.

Oh and if you think making it a movie will help you understand the story, well then your logic is flawed, because I played the game for EIGHT YEARS and I can Proudly state that I understand the entire story. Does Big Boss really fit in that list, though? No, it wasn't in a bed, but his death was probably the most peaceful out of all of the characters you mentioned, sans Snake.

I too am honored to be born in 1996, and this is one of but two games in history (gears of war 2 is the second) that was even close to getting to my emotions, and it far exceeds any other game in terms of plot. Amazing game series, helped me though alot of rough patches cause of the character Soild Snake and Big Boss are and was. This song made some epic moments in MGS4 from Octacon trying to explain Snakes death to Sunny and when Big Boss tells Snake to live out the reminder of his life. I owe alot to Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions for Metal Gear.
in scane when Otacon said about Snake to Sunny.... he had a hard life ..... I started cry like small girl ... I firmly believe that Metal Gear is the epic of our age. Who else but Kojima could have crafted a series so interwoven with not only heroics, but the very real implications of "heroics."
Hideo Kojima should go down in history as the creator of the 21st century's epic, just as the Ancient Greeks had The Aenid and Odyssey, and the British, Beowulf. Metal Gear is OUR epic.
I love splinter cell but sorry to say sam fisher aint got shit on Snake. Splinter cell is just a stealth action game (Which is really fun dont get me wrong).. Metal Gear Solid is 100 times more then a game could ever be, the story is the best of anything Iv ever seen my whole life, that includes movies, games, books.. Its just more then perfect in every way..

Ocelot wanted Liquid to take over him so he could fool the Patriots so they couldn't try to assassinate him. Hence why "Cats" like to play as "Snakes."

The only good part in the Big Boss scene is that Big Boss lived enough to see his vision he fought for so long and ruined by Snake twice came true. Also, giving Snake the full picture once and for all.
This is sad for a few reasons... usually when this comes on during the game someones dying and its the last game. The most emotional part was when Big Boss saluted Boss's grave at the end and there was a flash back. I don't know why that was sad but that was the ost emotional part of the game for me, and when Naomi tape played when GW was destroyed.
the saluting part was from MGS3 as Naked Snake had to kill the real Big Boss which was his mentor/mother (correct me if im wrong) as she had defected. the reason this was emotional is because no matter what she did he always respected his her as his superior.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't The Boss defect because it was part of her mission to do so? She was still good; she was simply doing her duty for the U.S. Government to help stop Colonel Volgin and retrieve The Philosopher's Legacy. John a.k.a. Naked Snake/Big Boss killed her because he had to because he was told she was the enemy. At the end, Eva tell him the truth...about everything that really happened.
@DazzyBoy12 to explain some more, the Boss was ordered to defect after things had gone awry. Naked Snake was then ordered to kill the Boss to cover up the screw up of some guys in suits. They sacrificed the greatest and most loyal soldier so they wouldn't look bad and could maintain their public power. Both Snake and the Boss followed their orders to the letter, even though they knew it was wrong. And BTW, the Boss did have a child, but that was REVOLVER OCELOT and THE SORROW WAS THE DAD OMG!

the sorrow memory was played during the scene where big boss was talking with snake then talking to the grave of the boss and saluting her one last time.
wow you are soo wrong, they played this a few times and not once did they play it during Meryl's wedding. They did play it during Naomi's recording after she died
2:45 - 3:15....gives me goose bumps all over every single time.....just so damn beautiful....especially the climax in that first part....and these are perfectly matched to the particular points in the cutscenes (e.g. Raiden learns the truth scene....Big Boss salutes The Boss one last time scene)
You never want these games to end... it's like... when you let go of the controller it truely is the end of the line. More so with mgs4. Because... it really is the end. No more. Then again... it never is truely the end. You can play it over and over. It's never quite the same, though... :'(
its so sad that we waited until 1998 for a game like metal gear to show up....and now its over we will never now when the next game like metal gear will appear and when it does it might not be as goood as this one ...MGS is irreplacible!!
@TheDinoman95 He doesn't die during the game, but it's stated in-game that he doesn't have a lot of time to live, so its assumed that Snake dies shortly after the events of MGS4.

it is quite an honour to be born in 1998.......... im just so sad even though i never REALLY played it, it is an amazing game............... i always play it at my friends place and i remember how much i laughed when i use the box................ its so sad to see snake go. Heck i cry less at a funerals "sniff"

I too am honored to be born in 1996, and this is one of but two games in history (gears of war 2 is the second) that was even close to getting to my emotions, and it far exceeds any other game in terms of plot. I know exactly what you mean. Solid Snake will live on in the true gamers.

Amazing game series, helped me though alot of rough patches cause of the character Soild Snake and Big Boss are and was. This song made some epic moments in MGS4 from Octacon trying to explain Snakes death to Sunny and when Big Boss tells Snake to live out the reminder of his life. I owe alot to Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions for Metal Gear.

in scane when Otacon said about Snake to Sunny.... he had a hard life ..... I started cry like small girl ... I never cried for game maybe a little bit for movie but definitly not like that .... my mouth was shaking and tears all around my head ... it was very very very emotional moment and I absolutely donť shame for it ( I hope you understand because my english is sick :( )

I firmly believe that Metal Gear is the epic of our age. Who else but Kojima could have crafted a series so interwoven with not only heroics, but the very real implications of "heroics."
Hideo Kojima should go down in history as the creator of the 21st century's epic, just as the Ancient Greeks had The Aenid and Odyssey, and the British, Beowulf. Metal Gear is OUR epic.

I love splinter cell but sorry to say sam fisher aint got shit on Snake. Splinter cell is just a stealth action game (Which is really fun dont get me wrong).. Metal Gear Solid is 100 times more then a game could ever be, the story is the best of anything Iv ever seen my whole life, that includes movies, games, books.. Its just more then perfect in every way..

When Big Boss says "let alone, turn one person totally into another", he means that Ocelot didn't have his entire genetic code and appearance changed to be EXACTLY like Liquid. He was Liquid the same Liquid from MGS1... he's just using Ocelot as his host.
"Under certain conditions"... like, say, your father having, um, "dead people powers".

The only good part in the Big Boss scene is that Big Boss lived enough to see his vision he fought for so long and ruined by Snake twice came true. Also, giving Snake the full picture once and for all.

This is sad for a few reasons... usually when this comes on during the game someones dying and its the last game. The most emotional part was when Big Boss saluted Boss's grave at the end and there was a flash back. I don't know why that was sad but that was the ost emotional part of the game for me, and when Naomi tape played when GW was destroyed.

the saluting part was from MGS3 as Naked Snake had to kill the real Big Boss which was his mentor/mother (correct me if im wrong) as she had defected. the reason this was emotional is because no matter what she did he always respected his her as his superior.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't The Boss defect because it was part of her mission to do so? She was still good; she was simply doing her duty for the U.S. Government to help stop Colonel Volgin and retrieve The Philosopher's Legacy. John a.k.a. Naked Snake/Big Boss killed her because he had to because he was told she was the enemy. At the end, Eva tell him the truth...about everything that really happened.

@DazzyBoy12 to explain some more, the Boss was ordered to defect after things had gone awry. Naked Snake was then ordered to kill the Boss to cover up the screw up of some guys in suits. They sacrificed the greatest and most loyal soldier so they wouldn't look bad and could maintain their public power. Both Snake and the Boss followed their orders to the letter, even though they knew it was wrong. And BTW, the Boss did have a child, but that was REVOLVER OCELOT and THE SORROW WAS THE DAD OMG!

2:45 - 3:15....gives me goose bumps all over every single time.....just so damn beautiful....especially the climax in that first part....and these are perfectly matched to the particular points in the cutscenes (e.g. Raiden learns the truth scene....Big Boss salutes The Boss one last time scene)

You never want these games to end... it's like... when you let go of the controller it truely is the end of the line. More so with mgs4. Because... it really is the end. No more. Then again... it never is truely the end. You can play it over and over. It's never quite the same, though... :'(

@TheDinoman95 He doesn't die during the game, but it's stated in-game that he doesn't have a lot of time to live, so its assumed that Snake dies shortly after the events of MGS4.
