Ey man quick question! I'm 16 and I weight around 125 pounds. Will this make me gain more strength and weight? Or should I just lift weights by myself? After seeing how skinny you were I think it'll have the same results on me (or at least similar?)

@Oliverpansoff Lol the gym is a joke. This is an hour a day of strenuous workouts, and its not like its all cardio, most of the moves involve dumbbell exercises where you only do 8-10 reps, and the chinups are killer. Have you even tried a p90x workout (ex. chest and back) to see how difficult it really is?

Inspirational video , I was told about this P90X a year ago from a friend that lost 60 lbs doing it. But I have a bad hip that healing slowly. These exercises are to explosives orientated . From the waist up I'm good but anything to do with my lower body has to be slow.
@ZaneOneTwo Not sure where you're located, but if you're in USA or Canada, then you should consider checking out new workout by Beachbody, which is Tai Cheng, a Tai-Chi based program. It is more towards physical therapy, so should be good for you while healing your hips. You can do the upper body portion of P90X, and do Tai Cheng on other days. The workout should be out in the next few weeks. Go to my website to keep up to date.
@xic4loca any type of exercise is safe, but since u are just sixteen u shouldn't stress ureself with too much weight for the program, start off really light, ure still growing so I don't recommend anything heavy at all for you, maybe just start with 5 pds and see how u progress over time, but it depends what u want, if u want to get ripped do this program but if u just want to lose weight/slim down insanity is a much more intense program for slimming, its what my sister does (she's 18)

@MrAteam8 Top athletes, especially world class gymnasts starts training early, at the age of 6 or so. You're not too young to start P90X, but dont expect to get such body transformation. You will get stronger, faster, and better muscle development, but in terms of looking like big and ripped, that will have to wait till you're older enough and your body is developed more. But if you start now, your muscles will grow bigger easily when you hit 18 or so.
@MrAteam8 Also, make sure that you do the lifting at around 15 reps, and not too heavy. You can push yourself with pullups and pushups or any other cardio, but go easy on the weight lifting.

@ArtiZemer Actually if you do a workout like this it'll just make you look fatter because the muscle will build faster than your body can burn the fat and it'll just build up under the fat you already had/have. Do cardio to loose weight and then build muscle throw work outs.
@Roccoluke27 actually the p90x program is just the base, u have to eat properly and constantly do the workouts, everything has to be done to the exact to get the results like the guy from the vid, but there real results I myself just finished the first month of p90x and the results are phenomenal, everyone reacts differently to the workouts as a matter of fitness but they do work, and ever since my results started im a true believer of p90x

You can modify any of the exercises to suit your needs, and Tony only asks that you push as Hard as you can. You may want to discuss this with your doctor first, but if you can exercise, and you're willing to give this all you can, and say 'I'm not going to let this stop me' than I think P90X would be great for you! = )
Of course you can! You just need to be able to BRING IT, as Tony would say. It's not easy, I'm not finished with my first round yet, but I can say this, I think that it's a great system that is worth giving your all!

@oA1ex I don't think it will stunt your growth I'm 15 and I've been doing P90X since March of last year. I've grown two inches since then and am finally the tallest in my family. As long as you don't overdo it and injure yourself I think you'll be fine.
@oA1ex Look just whatever you do do NOT lift weights, for the lifting never use weights, or else you will decrease your growth, rather just get tension bands, they'll work good and are much less of a factor as to growth hazard.

@xxxrezvanxxx yeah, probably true. The thing with P90X is that you burn so many calories that it's hard to put on weight while trying to get lean muscle mass at the same time. Maybe there is some secret that I am missing
@BlackRockCoffee4 Yeah of course you can try it. However, I wouldn't recommend it. You're 15/16, so you're not quite fully developed so you do run the risk of stumping your growth if you workout too hard. Plus, it's hard to commit to the routine 6 days a week for 90 days when you're 15/16 at school or whatever. My suggestion is to just keep fit, and workout lightly, do weights but not too regularly, you're 15 remember, got your whole life to get this big and muscular, wait till you've grown

hey i am going to start p90x soon so i have a question 4 you... 1st of all do you think it is safe for a 15 year old to do this program and is it true P90x can stunt your growth..

@oA1ex I don't think it will stunt your growth I'm 15 and I've been doing P90X since March of last year. I've grown two inches since then and am finally the tallest in my family. As long as you don't overdo it and injure yourself I think you'll be fine.

@oA1ex Look just whatever you do do NOT lift weights, for the lifting never use weights, or else you will decrease your growth, rather just get tension bands, they'll work good and are much less of a factor as to growth hazard.

Wow, awesome results. Nice editing on the video as well. I also did P90X, and was happy with my results, but I didn't put on as much weight as I wanted. Did you follow the P90X diet specifically or add anything to it?

@xxxrezvanxxx yeah, probably true. The thing with P90X is that you burn so many calories that it's hard to put on weight while trying to get lean muscle mass at the same time. Maybe there is some secret that I am missing

@BlackRockCoffee4 Yeah of course you can try it. However, I wouldn't recommend it. You're 15/16, so you're not quite fully developed so you do run the risk of stumping your growth if you workout too hard. Plus, it's hard to commit to the routine 6 days a week for 90 days when you're 15/16 at school or whatever. My suggestion is to just keep fit, and workout lightly, do weights but not too regularly, you're 15 remember, got your whole life to get this big and muscular, wait till you've grown

Well if you look at the before and after pic look at his face his head looks much bigger its not the face muscles its the jaw that gre bigger...I think he took steroids and hgh
